At our interview, I had the original documents, i.e., birth, divorce, NOA2, etc., in plastic page savers. I had also printed out color laser copies of all of the original documents, i.e., all pages of our passports, birth, divorce, NOA2, etc. My thinking was that the IO could view the original, compare the copy, and keep the copy as necessary. I was glad to relieve myself of the extra paper weight. :star:

You could consider contacting the USCIS office asking about returning your originals, though not to sure of the possible outcome.

YMMV.

Happy New Year!

In the instructions on the DS-230, it clearly states to supply the original plus a photocopy.

What you supply on the DS-230, into NVC ?

I ask, because the originals are usually returned, if a photocopy is in the casefile (per the instructions)

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

She has already had her interview. What I would suggest is sending an email to Lagos and requesting to come by and pick them up. Long as they have a copy of the divorce decree they will return. Having the email will allow you into the embassy.
