My fiancee didnt fill out the father's name column in our I-129F petition cos she has used the mother's family name since childhood and moreover the father's name is not included on her birth cert...in short the father has never been and existed in her life.

Now, will this amount to us receiving any RFE? Tank you all very much

I am guessing you meant the G-325A, since the I-129F does not ask for that information. If she knew his name, she should have put it on the form. It doesn't matter if she personally uses his name or not. They were not asking if she uses his name, simply asked what her father's name is. If she does not know his name, then she should have put Unknown. Whether you will get an RFE for that? No one can really answer that. You might, or you might not.

U are right Jay-Kay...that is rather the G-325A form. Since we have already filed, we will be hoping to see what positive comes out of it. If that should lead to an RFE, what will your suggestion be? THANK U

Thank God we received our NOA1 yesterday....my fiancee leaving out the father's name didnt cause us a RFE.

Getting the NOA1 does not mean you cannot get an RFE. The NOA1 is just the receipt notice. No one has looked at your petition to adjudicate it yet.

Now that you have the NOA1, you know which service center your file was sent to and you can change your profile to state the correct service center. This will give you a more accurate approximate date in your timeline as to when your petition may be approved.

I did not include my father's name as it is not listed on my birth certificate and he has never been in my life. I did not receive an RFE.
