hi everyone m from pakistan karachi my husband is a usc i came to islamabad for my immigrant inter on dec 28 2012 the guy asked me some questions abt me n my husband nothing else gave me back all my origional documents with two papers which are about US immigrant laws n right n there was a green papers which i saw later when i came out which says temp refusal under INA section 221g i got upset but he didnt tell me any reason just said they will contact me in months no reason took my passport n medical m puzzled now n m still in islamabad what shud i do? shud i call them n ask abt green paper or what?

in my opinion ur visa will come in 1 month!

Unless there is something specific written/ ticked on the forms you got, it sounds like you are in AP (Additional Processing after the interview). This is quite normal for beneficiaries from your country, where extra name and security checks are done. It can take anything from a few weeks to several months, all you can do is wait.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

If they took your passport, that is a good sign.

Hello

Thats called AP ( 221G) and its normal for pakistani applicant. You can't do nothing just wait. They kept my passport, medicals and gave me green sheet. They wont answer you before 3 months of time.

I have got my passport back in 18 days.

Case Complete: August 2011

Interview: 19th Nov 2012

Result: AP ( Green Sheet & no documents required)

VISA in hand: 07 dec 2012 :)
