Hey my case got completed on 18 dec and I haven't gotten the email yet. Maybe its more slow in pakistan. Hoping next week gets my intErview. Praying:s

We've paid all the bills,sent the DS-230(arrived at NVC 7th Jan 2013) and have had a case number for ages......am I ready to be on this list yet?????????

I would be calling this week to ask do you have case complete. Once they have accepted your package . They Complete your case and now you are in the interview queue. So long as you have no RFE's usually 7 to 14 days after they receive your package they have reviewed it. But you will not know if you don't call.

We did call friday they mentioned a 20 business day wait.......and I thought the NVC stage was a bit faster. Isn't it frustrating!!!!!

Yeah that 20 day business day thing is maddening. But just think you are done. Just waiting for that Case Complete. More than likely you will be in the February queue for March Interviews. Unless they have still have openings after this assignment.

You mean the timeline for interview? That I do not know. That's what is cool about keeping all our interviews dates and case complete in one place. Helps us figure out whats up.

Seems most from Pakistan once case complete about 1 to 2 months wait to interview. But remember since we (On VJ that is) are probably less than a percent of whats out there who knows how many are going through Islamabad and waiting for interview.

Just stay hopeful. This I hear is the most grueling of the waits.

I was wondering, is the DHL tracking an accurate reflection of the case load arriving at each embassy?

YES its very accurate. Depending on the embassy once you get that interview email most cases get shipped out in a day or two some a week. But you can always check and assume that package going to Kosovo is yours. Considering they are doing all the scheduling and also remember they are shipping out K1's also. So see you never know.

Its fun to check though.Once you get interview date that is.

i actually submitted all my documents by august 2012. than i didnt hear anything from NVC for a while. than in September i mailed them regarding the status of my case and they said as they dont have visas currently so i have to wait. i again mailed them in December and they replied on 18 December that my case is waiting for interview appointment in islamabad. so was my case completed before and how long do i have to wait.

Are you a LPR applying? I see you are on a student Visa. And you say you were done in August?

What is your priority date?

Have you checked the Visa Bulletin to see what dates they are on?

And it helps us all to help you if you would fill out your timeline so we know what type of Visa you applied for, and when you sent things in and when it was approved. this is how we all know what to expect. Thanks

I didn't mean regarding me. I saw 2 cases sent to Macedonia (Kosovo doesn't do visas) last week but hubby has no interview scheduled, so they must have been other people. But I was wondering, if the embassy in Macedonia only got 2 cases in one week, maybe they aren't that busy? Right?

Who knows really they busyness. Cuz some embassy only allow a certain slot. Doesn't mean they aren't busy but they may have 100 slots for visitor visa, 50 for K1 and 5 for CR1/IR1 who knows. I know like El Salvador and Ghana have like 4 to 6 month waits. So it depends.

Hopefully this is a slow time for the embassy and no long waits.
