I & my fiance have been waiting for almost five months now for our NAO2 letter ... but I have a question now... what will be the process after we receive our NAO2 ... how long will it take for my fiance to be able to move to USA with me .. I am trying to plan our wedding and I was wondering if anyone can give me an estimate on how long will it actually be for him to be here.. [/size][/size][/size][/b]

One thing you need to be prepared for is that it is a near certainty your fiance's file will be placed into Administrative Processing (AP) when the interview is complete. AP can last from a few weeks to more than a year.

There is no way to tell. If your case goes into AP, it could take a long time. If I were you, I would plan anything just yet.

It is suggested by anyone and everyone in the immigration " community " for the lack of a better term, to not plan anything until you have your visa in hand. Sometimes it can be done and visa can be in hand way before the six to nine months on average that getting k-1 takes, sometimes, like my case it can take way more. From the day we sent the package to the day I got on the plane, it took about 14 months.but like others said, she will most likely be put on AP. even tho its shorter for middle eastern women than men, it's still another unpredictable wait.
