Hello Everyone,

-I need some advises on my case, the following is my story

-I petitioned a K1 for my fiancee, the application was approved on October 30th 2012. two weeks later, the NVC sent me a notification saying the case was transferred to the Embassy in country where my Fiancee live. few weeks after I contacted the Embassy in question and I was told the consular officer was on vacation for two weeks, and we must wait until when he gets back (in other words, no interview or case viewing when he is not there). Meanwhile, I followed the instructions on the States Department and VJ to gather all the forms that will be needed. On the other side my fiancee started the medical exams with the recommended letter provided by the states department.

-November 15th, my fiancee received a letter from the Embassy asking her to bring packet 3. She showed-up there and one of the agents examined all the documents she had on hand.As a result of this meeting, a list of additional documents was established and should be brought-in on the interview day.

-December 12th was the Interview day, surprisingly it's not the consular officer who is conducting the interview but someone else instead. The guy was not serious at all, it seems like he was forced to conduct the interview and the questions were just non sense example: he asked her to describe what my city looks, even know she told the guy that she never been in US. another one was the detailed telephone bill -Which don't make sense because, they don't have detailed phone bills in Africa-.

-December 13th, I received an Email from this consulate with an attached "Temporary Denial" saying that I needed to provide copies of my kids birth certificates, passport stamps (which I already sent to the USCIS and packet 3) and the forms G 325A.Thankfully, I had all the requested documents. By the way, this Embassy don't send you an acknowledgement receipt. however, when you call to see if documents were received

I feel very concerned as my wedding date is approaching, and I don't know how long this will be going on. Any advise will be appreciated

It sounds like the CO was concerned that you may not have a bonafide relationship. Yes, your fiancee was never in the USA but when preparing for a loved one to join you in the USA, it would be a normal thing to show photos of the area where you live, maybe complain about how long the commute takes because the roads are narrow, tell you about the concert he saw at an event venue etc.

Asking for the G 325A again seems odd- maybe they lost some of the papers in your file? Or has something changed in your circumstances since you first submitted them?

They were very specific in what they wanted, hopefully that is a good sign and as you can provide it quickly, your fiancee will get the visa soon.

First, thanks for your reply,

-I forgot to mention in my early posting that both, the USCIS and the Embassy have photos of both of us. I taught 2 photos were enough.

-Also, I went to register at the very same consulate during my last visit (visit in which they are asking the proof for).

-The Embassy contacted me a month later, to ask me questions about the local government treatment during my visit. I don't know if the Email was just part of their investigation. Because, how would they disqualify or temporarily denied my application based the info the already have?

-But you may be right.

I will take as long as it will take. Be prepared to move the wedding date; you should never have scheduled anything anyways.....but you know that, right?

The fact that they only asked for more documents is a good sign.
