In sending in the DS-230 and other supporting documents in PDF format can a person merge all documents into one large pdf file or does it need to be several pdf's attached?

Example DS-230 in one separate file, Marriage certificate in one separate file or can all files be merged into one large pdf file?

I sent in all the documents in one large scanned file and got and e-mail saying they need the DS-230 part one sent in.Not sure what to think.

Thanks in advance

Craig

call into NVC and get a supervisor and inquire.

Remind the supervisor that you sent all yet still got a request for the DS-230.

Is it possible you got a false checklist letter, instead?

I did call and ask and she said it was to turn in DS-230 but I informed her I sent it in a week ago in 3 files, she then informed me to wait 20 days and then call back, so I guess was a false checklist letter

I dunno, I say call back, get a supervisor,

and ask that the email contents be detached from the email, reviewed, and added to the casefile.

My guess is that the person you spoke with knows nothing about the EP process.

It's on you to educate them, each time you call in.

hmmm - if you called back and pushed this with a supervisor, you might have had some results that week, with an interview scheduled last week for late January. What's going on ?

I tried calling back yesterday but they were closed due to inclement weather. Tried today but after being on hold for 45 minutes I gave up. I got 3 e-mails from NVC on Dec 18th stating they got all 3 e-mails of DS-230 package I sent. It said in the e-mail to wait 20 days from date I sent e-mails which was Dec 7th before calling.

Trouble is they do not say a straight 20 days or 20 business days which would be in January.

I am in no hurry as Mar 1 2013 we will be married for 2 years which means she gets 10 year card upon entering USA provided she passes her interview.

Because of the RFE I got for the initial I-130 i front-loaded the DS-230 as well.

The extra paperwork I scanned into PDF would print out over 5 inches thick. The file sent for the RFE was over 6 inches thick with over 700 photos as well printed 4 to a page.

If they read all my DS-230 paperwork it will take some time. Hopefully I do not get another RFE.

Thanks

Craig

OK Craig - I'm gonna peg 18 DEC 2012 for ya.

IMO, you'll get notice of the interview date no later than 8 January 2013.

Hang in there, and good on ya for the piles...

I note that in my recent I-130 submittal, it was about 7 inches thick (special folder, colored paper dividers with lasered titles). I went to my local office recently, and the desk clerk pulled my I-130 . It was about 5 inches thick, the special folder and colored paper dividers were gone. ALL OF MY EVIDENCE WAS THERE, so I felt relieved even though they never looked at my expedite request prior to the infopass appointment.

Ya, that two year window is fun, aye? Even is she has an interview prior, she can delay her transit into the USA to be past the 2 year mark, and then have the IR-1 designation assigned at the POE. Which of course, is super-duper.

Hang in there ! I was worried about yer stuff today, thinking you should have had case complete earlier in the month.

I called today, she informed me that the DS-230 is not in the system yet and to wait 20 business days or I could resubmit everything again. I told her I had the e-mail receipt of the DS-230 packages and she said just keep waiting and would not let me speak to a supervisor. She told me it takes 20 business days from receipt e-mail so I guess it will be 20 days on Jan 17th. Holidays really screwed things up and snow days.
