Received 3 Receipt Numbers from USCIS

Hi guys,

I recently submitted the I-130 and I-485 package to USCIS to petition for my husband ( he is a foreigner bu currently resides in the states after fishing college). It took me 2 days to receive not just 1 but 3 receipt numbers. Is that strange to receive 3 receipt number for only one case.

Please advice on this.

No, not unusual at all. Though it is somewhat hard to tell which visa process you are working on from your scant timeline.

My wife and stepson recently finished their AOS from K-1/K-2 visas, respectively. We received six (6) I-797c Receipts, three each, for associated petitions/applications, I-485 (AOS), I-131 (AP), and I-765 (EAD).

Overlooked that this was was an adjustment from K-1, so yes the three receipts will be for I-485, I-765 and I-131.
