We filed a I-751 for my wife in October. We included her 15 year old son on Part 5 of the Form as he came to USA as a K2 child with her originally. We recieved my wife's NOA1 on Oct 18, but we have not recieved a NOA1 for our son. Should we recieve a separate NOA1 for him also? We have recieved separate Biometric appointments for both my wife and son.

I called USCIS yesterday and the agent told me that they do not send out separate NOA1 for the child, and if we wanted to leave the country that we would need to go to the local office and get a stamp in his passport. Is this correct??? Because in January his conditional green card will expire and i would think that we would need to have an official letter (same as my wife's NOA1/extension letter) for him also???huh.gif

Has there be others here that have recieved individual NOA1's for thier child that was included on the I-751 form?helpsmilie.gif

You will get a separate one for the child. It will be worded differently than your spouses letter. I waited 30 days and then had to call the 800 number to get my stepdaughter's letter because hers never arrived the first time. They will not send you a replacement letter until after 30 days.

Update....

My wife made an info pass and talked to the agent in OKC. He said that they would look into her son not recieving the extension letter. After another 30 days wait,,, i called, and after a series of very frustrating calls, finally made it to an agent that basically said that they had sent the extension letter to us by mail the same time as my wife's, and they would not send another one to us. That we would need to get a I-551 stamp in my step-son's passport.

After discussing a little more with her and telling her that we had already made a trip (two hour drive to Imigration office, plus vacation time, etc.) to discuss this and that they did not put a stamp in his passport at that time,,,, and that i should not have to make another trip, vac, for their mistake.... So we were planning on making another info pass and having to take vacation (including son's) to get this done.

But, a week later we did recieve an original letter stating that his conditions are extended for one year!!good.gif
