Hello Everyone,

First of all, I love the forum. And it's already quelled a lot of my anxiety over this process. I met my fiance online a couple years ago. She's from Ireland, and we'll be pursuing a K-1 visa so she can come to the US so we can start our life together.

I don't see anything about out situation that would be out of the ordinary, except that she will be living and working in Germany during the process.

Is this going to be a problem? Will they eventually require her to return to Dublin for the interview? Or can we do the whole thing with her residing in Germany and use the consulate in Germany?

Sorry if this question has been answered somewhere before. I tried searching for it, but couldn't find anything that seemed to match our situation exactly.

Thanks in advance,

-Colin

Hello and welcome to the forum.

Yes, if she's residing legally in Germany, she'll be able to interview there. When you fill out the I-129F, make sure to add that information on question 20.

Here's a sample form http://www.visajourney.com/examples/Form-I-129F.pdf
