Back when we dealt with the people in Lagos we had them ID'd and knew which ones where the worse.

Post the description of the person you dealt with and how they treated you. Lets see if we can ID the worst of the current group. Does the Asiain lady still exist?

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

She exists as last reported in Abuja. I read that about June.

Divine had an American white lady with dark hair. He was in a four hour interview but was approved.

Ginie's husband interviewed with a White American CO with dirty blonde hair, highlighted. There were not so good things to say about her.

Divine did add, a security guard warned him to stay very calm while waiting, to not fidget around, pace or show nervousness. He was told the reason was he was being watched from a camera room in the back before actually being interviewed. (I'd never heard of this before)

That's interesting... About the camera. I wonder if he meant security is watching everyone for suspicious characters (i can understand that) or if they are being watched in a way that will influence their interview outcome.

Well its a big room and yes there are security cameras everywhere. It's busy and you are watched. By the guards by the CO's. Just give your Hunnie something to occupy them. UI have two albums I made for him for the interview that he hasn't even seen yet of things he has missed throughout this process. He will open that soon as he is seated. And I hope he cries. LOL

Also I had given in his interview packet a "all about Houston" some CO's like tp ask specific questions about where the immigrant will be living so he has that. I have a zippy pouch of goodies (He loves Twixs and gum). I got the pouch idea from a VJ member.

Also there's a letter addressed to him and a card to open on interview day. So he will be very emotional I am sure. Should be good stuff. If they say "why u cry?" he can hand over the packet and see why.

I believe the camera's are part of the process. Divine shared with me that his boss has tried to get him a tourist/business visa last year so that he could go to a seminar. His boss frequents the US but Divine had never been before. He said he was very nervous when he reached the embassy and paced the floor, went back and forth to the bathroom for water on his face, etc. He said his heart was beating out of his chest and he could not sit still.

He knows that was a large factor this year when I told him other VJ members had advised he remain calm and appear to be very confident even if he felt he was ready to jump out of his skin. He did just what I told him.

He was lost with the paperwork I provided though. The process means nothing to them because they do not have to prepare any of the forms or wait for a particular one to clear. I put them all in order for him and tried to quickly explain the process, but even that made no sense to him. :bonk: All I an say is Thank God for Mercy and a CO that could see the love he had for me! :D

I guess il jus keep going through my folder of files or album to avoid being nervous cos I am rightnw even when my interview is miles away. If not what would one be staring at jus sitting there. I would even be more nervous mere looking at the people approved and turned down. Ghoshhhhh!

God is love!

According to my Fiancee, those that had the young looking dark complexion Man and the white skinned Woman were blessed by God.

When she was called to the window of the dark complexion Lady, she just knew it wasn't going to be good.

Our denial has affected me more than I thought it would. I am now actually more cognizance of things around me and starting to pay attention to stuff. Now I understand a little bit more better the point of view of those that feel that our government is rolling out the red carpet to illegal immigrants while those of us doing things the right way are given the shaft.

The system is broken and uniting loved ones shouldn't be left to whims, personal suspicion, mannerism of one person after a 10 minute interview. It ought to be a totality of evidence. To others that are having issues dealing with a Lagos BS "bona fide relationship denial (or any of the other silly excuses that they pull out of the hat), just take solace that one of the world top Statesman, Collin Powell, agrees with us.

Amazing how that happens huh. You watch the news and anything about immigration has to do with south of the border.

When Obama opened up Visas for Vistors and Business he only opened it wide for China and India according to their speech they bring great business and money to the US. I see an influx on work visas like crazy from India to the point I am the only American in my work place everyone else is sponsored or yes illegal and the employer knows it. So what there are no skilled Techy people out there in the US (I am a QA Analyst)?

I grow so tired of the fact that families are the last to be heard most people don't even know you have to get a Visa that takes almost a year to get a love one here. You know lets just say you brought over a scammer who only wanted to get a green card out of you. Goodness worst things could have happened.

Sometimes I worry and get scared because OMG I am older than my man. And I guess to CO's women over the age of 40 are just to stupid, vapid, ignorant and clueless not to mention we are lonely, desparate (cuz why else would we go abrod for a man where there are good american boys here). So because they have deeemed us all these things they feel they need to protect us. Although the fat, old white guy who is marrying his Philipina woman 50 years younger doesn't even get a second glance.

Yep the system is way broken. And I be darn if people who may or maynot have had a good or bad day get a feeling I may or maynot be loved or in love.

Man see you got me worked up now. I need to write a letter now. Colin Powell or Obama may hear from me.
