Missing "admitted" passport stamp during POE to US.

Hello all..After 8 years of long distance relationship,my boyfriend & I are finally getting our K1 process started!!! I went back to see him for two weeks last month and started gathering all the paperworks that we need. I found out that I am missing a passport stamp of my re-entry to the US.I called USCIS,Customs Border Patrol,Passport Services agencies and they've bounced me around for a very long time,I decided to call Detroit Intl. Airport (my POE) spoke with the Passenger processing supervisor and he told me that I don't need to have the "Admitted" stamp on my passport because they don't stamp US citizens passport anymore... I'm confused, when I went back to Philippines last February of this year,I used Chicago ('O Hare Airport ) as my POE and they stamped my passport back then.. If they look at my passport, it looks like I'm still out of the country because of the missing POE stamp.Can anyone help me on this? My boyfriend and I have been together for so long now and we don't want to wait another 8 years to finally be together .Thank you soo much!

Out of 4 trips to the Philippines last year, my passport was only stamped on reentry to the U.S. once. I thought it was odd that it was even stamped that one time. You have the evidence of visiting with the entry/exit stamps you have from the Philippines.

I live in Detroit and I visited my Fiance twice this year. The first time was the formal engagement (right before we applied) and the second was because I missed him. The last time I visited him, my passport wasn't stamped when I got back (DTW).

Since I didn't send in copies of my passport stamps as primary evidence, it was requested as part of the IMBRA RFE I received. However, they did not have a problem with two uk stamps and one detroit entry stamp.

I think you'll do just fine without it. Just my humble opinion...

The only pages I copied for my petition were the entry/exit stamps from the Phillipines. I never submitted a copy of the page with the U.S. entry stamp. I did not get an RFE. It was never questioned--nor should it have been.

You can get away without even sending in a copy of the passport, so long as you send a copy of another document proving US citizenship.

The boarding passes (and ticket stubs) are good enough to indicate duration.

Interesting. It seems some POE still stamp US entries.

I've been in and out of the States numerous times. NEVER once have I had a stamp since 2003 at SFO POE. No exit or entry stamps at SFO.

I agree that the POE stamp into the US is meaningless because you could be coming or returning from anywhere and therefore proves nothing.... The better piece of evidence is the entry/exit stamp from your fiance's country.

As a USC, you don't need to be admitted with a stamp in your passport. They seem to rarely do it these days unless you make a point of asking. It has no bearing on your petition - the use of a passport is simply to prove US citizenship and therefore your right to file the petition.

It shouldn't be a problem. You have the Phillipines' stamps, and those are the ones you really need.

Of my trips to Canada, two of them had no U.S. return entry stamp, on one of them they'd stamped my boarding pass, and one time, Canada didn't bother stamping it at the Edmonton POE (1am, very tired border officer, and 500 people from delayed flights in the area. I think I would have gotten through without a passport as long as I didn't look like I had a bomb.) Between the boarding passes and the other evidence, I could show that I'd been in the country.

You shouldn't have any issues regarding these stamps.

Funny though, they stamp my passport every time I enter/leave the US. I usually go through SFO or LAX. I think they look at where you have been and for how long. I don't think they like the fact that I live in China most of the time. It gives the officer reason to stamp it.

Mine was the other way around. I mysteriously have a reentry stamp, but no entry stamp into Canada. That was thanks to being pulled into another room and searched during my last visit to Canada. She got so wrapped up in me talking about how fabulous my fiance is (I gush about him whenever I can) that she forgot to stamp it after searching my luggage.

I thought, I should post here to calm your nerves a bit. I was in the exact same situation. My fiance is from Mexico and I have known him since 1999. I got my U.S. passport in 2000. Since 2000 I have made a total of 8 trips to Mexico to visit my fiance. You would think that I "should" have had a total of 16 stamps on my passport (8 for my entry into Guadalajara Mexico and 8 for my POE at LAX airport).

Well, let me tell you, I only have a total of 3 stamps on my passport all for my entries into GDL, Jaliso Mexico, dated December 2003, July 2005, and July 2006. The only one I was able to use as primary evidence was the stamp for July 2005 since this was the only one to fall into the dates specified (2 years prior to the filing of the I-129 petition). Don't worry too much about this, (like I did). I was approved. If possible include copies of your itinerary/credit card statements reflecting the tickets purchased. I included such itineraries that showed the tickets purchased on the travel agency letterhead.
