Hello QueenieJ601, Happy anniversary. We have waited this long, hopefully few more months and our spouses can join us. I am still waiting for NVC to receive it. I called them this morning. Yours took almost a month, so i am hoping mine also will be there later this week or next. It was our anniversary too last month. Yes they sometimes enter your file into their system faster so may be as soon as this week. Good luck to everyone in the same boat.

Do you ever come on the NVC filer's page as we move away from this part of the process?

Thank you for your past replies and advices.

Hope we see you in the NVC page as well.

You can pay fees online here https://ceac.state.gov/CTRAC/Invoice/signon.aspx

You need your Case, and Invoice ID numbers to access the online payment portal.

Good luck.

Yes. I was a regular participant on the NVC filer's and interview threads between May and September, when i was at the NVC stage. I am done with this journey, at least for now so i check in there sometimes to help folks still going through this crazy journey. I will try to log on there much often now but Saylin and the other guys there have been doing a great job.

I however come on here much often because its like my second home since we all started from here, to help as much as i can. For some reason, i can't stay away from this thread for too long, as i comehere almost everyday.

Good luck with your journey.

Cheers!

So my file was received by NVC on October 8, 2013. I paid fees on October 17. Today November 18, my law asked me to review DS-260 and I-864 that will be submitting soon. How long do you guyz think it will take for her interview from now? My case is BMB. Please help. Thank You!

Thanks alot for all the information. I have hired a lawyer for this case. She has handled many of these type of case. Most of the people who I know had positive experience with her before. therefore, I am hoping she will not be making any error. but for now she has asked me to forward (via mail or I can drop it off) following documents while its making it to NVC please let me know if i need to have any other document ready just incase:

1. Embassy filing fee of $318

3. Certified copy of Nahal’s birth certificate with certified translation

4. Certified copy of marriage contract with certified translation

5. A copy of her passport – every page, cover to cover

6. Completed questionnaire with Nahal’s information

7. Your 2010, 2011, 2012 federal income tax transcripts – please follow this link to the IRS website to obtain your official tax transcripts. http://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Order-a-Transcript

8. Your 4 most recent pay stubs or letter verifying employment and salary

9. If you need joint sponsor – I will need the following:

a. 2010,2011,2012 tax transcripts

b. 4 most recent paystubs or letter verifying employment and salary

c. Proof of green card or US citizen status

Also one more question: I have already order my federal income tax transcripts. it has been 3 days and as of yet i m still waiting on it to be delivered. My question is can I submit my 3 years of tax returns instead of tax transcripts?

Thank You!

How come you never sent your forms after paying the fees since October 17? I guess your lawyer never told you, and that is crazy!! Looking at the fact that you are yet to submit the forms, the interview might be late January/February at the earliest.

I will advise you to take complete ownership of the process, and forget about this stupid lawyers. They dont feel your pain.

Thank you Bismark for guiding us through this process.

I contacted my lawyer and asked her why has she been delaying the process. I asked her DS-260 still not submitted and again answers are in typical lawyers vocabulary where they are never in fault. However, I was rushing her to at least submit DS-260 because she also asked to obtain Police clearance of my wife. She said she will submit the entire package together. I dont know why is she submitting Police clearance of my wife to NVC? I thought Police clearance is normally submitted to embassy? Please tell me if you understand what she is doing.

Police clearance is required at the NVC stage as well. NVC will forward everything to the embassy. The goal is to make life a little easier for the embassy by obtaining all these documents for them so that they can make quicker decisions.

My understanding is that for India, the only way to obtain police clearance is to show a proof to the government why you need it. What most people from India do is that they submit their immigrant visa package first to NVC, then get a checklist for the missing PC, and then use a copy of the checklist as proof to request the PC in India. It sounds crazy and strange but you need a proof of why you need the the police certificate in India.

Most people get rid of their lawyers at the NVC stage because they are lazy, and lot of information is required. Its completely up to you, but this lawyer is delaying your case big time!

You may not even get a January interview date looking at the fact that you havent submitted anything yet. Assuming that you submit everything by next week (with no checklist), You may be able to get a case complete by the end of December, and that will put your case in line for a February interview slot (at the earliest). Also, try checking on the interview thread and see how long people from India are waiting from case complete to interview http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/463284-december-2013-interviews/page-3.

Good luck!!!

My I-130 was approved on Oct 1st, but NVC still has not received my petition. I called them every week and they asked me to wait for 8 weeks. So after 8 weeks I emailed NVC research and I got a email reply back on Dec 9th saying they will contact USCIS on my behalf to track my petition. It has been 3 weeks since then. I have been calling them every week and they just say they will contact me and rest assured they will track my petition down. I have made a info pass appointment with Atlanta office for next week to see if they did send my approval and petition to NVC and to the right address.

Maree i see from your timeline, yours too was approved on Oct 1st like me and NVC received it after 9 weeks on Dec 5th, did you have to do anything different and do you know why it took so long for NVC to receive it.

If anyone else has any advice for me or any opinions on my case, please let me know. Thank you very much. I am very tired and disappointed with the whole process with USCIS. Thank again everyone.

Hi, I think you should contact USCIS and speak to a Tier 2 to see what date they sent your petition to the NVC. I did all the same things as you and was just grateful that mine was finally received after 9 weeks. I hope that they can track yours down very soon and your petition can move forward!

Sorry that I don't have any better advice for you!
