hey guys, got the NVC response, paid the fee for the AOS, and now, need to send these documents back.

So, because my wife is in Brazil, my question is related to the signature required by her on these docs !!!!

I do not want to waste 20 days or so for this, so, is it possible that she can print these out, sign them, scan it or fax them back to me, so that I can send them in ?

I HOPE YOU SAY YES, because if not, this will delay this process even more, and it has already been 6+ months ;-(

thanks for the feedback

I did that with my husband. he sent the documents straight from his email but it took 2 weeks for them to receive it.

you dont have to wait 20 days if you spend $$$ and do it through Fedex. She can print there (a couple of copies) sign the documents and fedex to you. it will take less than a week and you wont get in problems - she is supposed to sign.

ds-3032 - http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/Email_DS-3032_form

as to the DS-230 - sorry, needs her original signature.

why not have her sign 4 sets, but leave the rest of it blank, send off to you via fast plane?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

thanks ;-)

She sent the DS-2030 email last night. I am sending the I-864 today, and will ask her to send the DS-230 via FEDEX. Should she send it directly to NVC or to me ?

I will also ask her to scan it, and send it via email, to see if that is taken ;-)

Now, looking forward down the road, is there anything else that she will need to sign, or the next stage is the Embassy in Brazil, and I will be there with her ;-)

Thanks a lot guys.

And I MUST SAY, this forum is one of the BEST THINGS I HAVE EVER SEEN. I know that we grew up saying, you need to rely on a lawyer to do anything, but this shows us how the power of community, we can help one another, through our experiences, and achieve the same results. I am not saying that all cases are the same, but the majority of cases DO NOT NEED any lawyers to slow things down, and make it more expensive process ;-)

it's not just the ds-230

you need her civil documents as well.

so if she's actually going to prep a COMPLETE Immigrant Visa Application for you, for you to send off TO NVC,

then please study a bit more, make certain she sends you a COMPLETE set

thanks, I will read up on it a bit more.

However, I have all her civil docs, all translated, and they were sent to the NOA1 application ;-) Not sure why they would need it again, but I have those.

I believe that there is the police background check, but that is local there in Brazil, and we need to bring to the US Consulate, so, it does not need to come now.

I will read some more tonite, and if I have more questions, I will come back here. Thanks a lot guys.
