I am trying to put in the paperwork in for the I 130 and K-3. Im not sure if it will take a longer time or not. My wife once had a IR1 visa and lived in the states. We decided to move back to Panama due to financial and family reasons. Now we want to go back to the states and my wife visa has expired. We have to go through the whole process again. I am not sure if this is going to hurt our chances or make it easier? On the I 130 forms it asks if one went to the United States before and the number of the visa. Should I put all the information on the form? We lost all the old medical records and my wife will most likely have to get all the doctor shots and visit again. Anyone ever been through this process again? Any tips or info would be appreciated.

one thing...NEVER lie to U.S Immigration. they have all her previous information on file. if your wife once had an IR 1 visa how did she get it cos it means her husband must have filed for her so i am guessing you filed for her before , you guys moved out while she was still a green card holder and did not maintain her status so now she wants to reapply. it may take long but i believe once you are able to provide evidence of hardship reasons, a positive outcome could come your way.

GOD has been WONDERFUL!!!

Yes you will have to provide all that about her Visa. When did she get the greencard and how long has she been out of the US? When you get to the interview stage yes she will have to get a new medical and based on her answers at medical maybe a shot or two. But that's months away. The key thing is when she got greencard and who petitioned her ? the time between then and now is very key also.

Also the K3 is obsolete you will be filing the I-130 Petition that will get you the IR1 or CR1 Visa for married folk. You are looking at 8 to 12 month timeline from filing to interview.

Also, make sure you have evidence that you guys maintained your marriage as i believe it will be a major point for them. And like ndu26 stated, NEVER lie to them as they can access records.Goodluck!!
