We are in the same boat with a filing date of 17 april. And yes i wondered about that myself how they could only advance 5 days in one months in the backlog. If you will read the report of oct 4 carefully though you will see that the march 5th date was what they were processing on aug 31, the date of the report. The reports are a month behind. But the scary thing is that they should be close to processing may 1st petitions by now but obviously they are not so they must be falling farther behind every month. I am not too far away from contacting my congressman. Sad to think if i had filed this just one year ago would have been approved in 3 or 4 months! Please post your case status if it changes.

We have received NOA2 on the 17th of October. NOA1 was on April 17th. It was exactly six months since the day of NOA1. I called them two weeks earlier and they said that they were currently processing petitions received on March 5th. One thing to keep in mind is that what's posted on their site is a snapshot taken on August 31st. They posted it on October 4th. It appears that it takes them a week to process a petition. Since a month and a half have passed, I would add a month and a half to March 5th, which coincides with the timing we have received our NOA2.

Also, there is site where you can see the average length of processing times for each service center. For VCS they have six months.

Follow this link: Processing Times, where at the bottom "Processing Times" let you see the average time it takes to process various applications by the service centers.

Hope this helps.

Don't get me started about VSC! I am a cr-130 filer. My NOA 1 date is 03/26/12. The USCIS websites claims the processing time is 5 months. Do not believe it! I sent in an inquiry and after 3 weeks I received an email saying that I should hear something in 60 days. That would be 9 months!!!!!! 9 months for a NOA 2? This is crazy!!!!!!!!

I feel your pain with VSC. We all have experienced it. CR-130 are processed different from I-129F. In the past 2 months I have seen an increase in K-1 approvals from VSC and CSC has all but stopped. K-1 petitioners at VSC should be seeing shorter and shorter processing times if they continue on their current pace. I pray for you and the rest of CR-130 filers at VSC that they will give the same attention to your petitions.
