I am from Jordan but i am currently in the US , Evansville Indiana and i am holding a valid student visa ( F1) .

i want to get married in Evansville , what documents must i bring with me other than my valid passport and my birth certificate ?

I have heard that i must bring a proof from Jordan ( My native country ) shows that i am single or divorced (in case i was married ) in order to get married ? is this right ?

Note : when i applied for my student visa in Jordan , i wrote in the application that i am single and they had my fingerprints at the US embassy in Jordan.

I am looking forwards to getting a reply.

Thanks a lot.

Call the local office that will issue the marriage license and ask them. This varies by State.

Then only required my passport and my family information in Utah. You can find information for Indiana here: http://www.in.gov/judiciary/2605.htm

Apparently they required one of the following only:

  • Current, valid drivers license or state-issued ID card
  • Passport
  • Birth Certificate

Good luck!

*facepalm* Thread is a year and a half old and has had no responses.. why don't you people look at the post dates before you post?
