I'm hoping a Honduras DCF filer will speak up here. DCF timelines can vary a lot from embassy to embassy. For example, in Mexico I know people who get approved the same week they file the I-130, but the wait for an interview can sometimes vary. Here in Korea, it took a month for the approved petition but right away if docs are ready, we can schedule an interview. In some countries, 6 months start to finish is normal. It sounds like in your situation, knowing the specific timeline for Honduras would be a decision-maker. The last thread I can find on it (I'm not a very good searcher...) is like 5 years old! but seems to indicate maybe 2 weeks for petition approval at that time, and under 2 months start-to-finish for the whole DCF process. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/98318-so-i-filed-the-i-130s-dcf/page__hl__honduras

This USCIS Tegus page seems to indicate that their official line is that petitions are processed in under 30 days: http://honduras.usembassy.gov/dhs-uscis_fampet.html

On the other hand, VSC is taking its time with fiance petitions according to reported timelines here on VJ, so I suspect in 2 months, you will likely still be waiting on an NOA2 from your I-129f.

I suspect, if you have the funds to file a new petition, marrying and filing DCF will be your best bet, but only if you think you can get the documents for I-130 together fairly quickly. For example, marriage cert and translation, new relationship proof, proof of your current legal residence in Honduras, etc.

Long story short, we have a complicated case. We've been at this for nearly 5 years. You can read our story here. I highly recommend our attorney Laurel Scott, as well as attorneys Laura Fernandez and Lizz Cannon .

Filed I-130 via CSC in Feb 2008. Petition approved June 2008. Consular interview in Mexico, Oct 2008, visa denied, INA 212a6cii. We allege improper application of the law in this case.

2012, started over in Seoul: I-130 filed DCF on 7/2, I-130 approved 8/8, Medical at Yonsei Severance 11/20, IR1 appointment in November 2012.

CRBA filed 1-3-13 at Seoul for our daughter

Filed: IR-1/CR-1 Visa Country: India
Timeline

My I-130 was approved and send from New Delhi consulate to Mumbai Embassy on 14th Sept. How ever I still did not receive any packet 3 or case number from Mumbai consulate. Reading the other DCF timelines I feel mine is taking too long. Am I right? How long does the consulate take to send packet 3 after I-130 is approved and sent to them.

I think, again, this varies by location. The original poster and I are both referring to DCF in countries where the consulate approving the petition and the consulate doing the IV interview are the same, so there's no wait time to get the I-130 to the IV unit. The only other country I've had experience where DCF can happen in a different consulate than the visa interview is Mexico, and there I believe 4-6 weeks is an upper limit of wait time for the case to move locations after the petition is approved. So hopefully another India filer knows specifically what's normal there.
