Hi Vj friends. First of all I'd like to thank everyone in this forum for all there insight & help. Now I'd like to share my experience so the same way I was helped, I can help others. My journey started 4 months ago when I sent my package & today was my interview. The interview was scheduled for 9 am. We made it right on time, went thru security & waited about 45 minutes to be called. We were called in by the officer, proceeded to his office where we were sworn in. We were then asked for our I.D's & birth certificates. The officer was very professional & very straight forward. He wasent rude & didn't ask any tricky questions. He asked about our son. He asked my wife if she had another child, she then said yes. He asked if I was previously married & I replied yes. He then asked if I had any children with my ex wife, I replied no. He then asked how long was I married to my ex wife. Then he asked me my address, & when do they pick up the trash. I answered. He also asked where I work & how many days & if I liked my job. He also asked my wife where she worked, & what she does at her job. He knew the business we worked for. Also he asked for our bank account statement & photos. He said the pics were nice & said he was going to choose one to keep. He then asked for our marriage certificate, divorce papers, & my passport where he wrote on it that my application is pending. While he was writing on the passport he then told me that if everything checked out fine i would recieve the card in 4 weeks. Lastly he then said, "you should recieve the card in 4 weeks thru the mail". :) The interview went very smooth it didn't feel like an interview, more like a casual conversation. Everything lasted about 10 minutes. He kept my I-94 & walked us out the room & we left. This afternoon I kept checking online & I saw that there was an update from "testing interview" to "decision" & it read that they mailed my permanent residence status & that I will receive the card in 60 days. It also said to follow the instructions for the welcome notice! & that's it. :) thank you everyone for the support, I hope my experience can help other people. I'm extremely happy. Now my wife & I can live a normal life.

By the way my interview was conducted at long island city, N.Y.

When I asked my IO if he wants to see my birth certificate after we gave him my wife's, he replied: "son, you are American, I don't need to see your birth certificate".
