Hello all

I have my two year Green Card.

Planning to fly to the UK in a few weeks time for a visit.

The Visa Waiver i applied for, before we got married has expired.

Just managing my booking on the British Airways site and it mentions Visa Waiver.

Am i safe to assume, i dont need to apply to Esta for Visa Waivers anymore?

I-129F Sent : 2009-10-19

I-129F NOA1 : 2009-10-30

I-129F NOA2 : 2010-01-20

Packet 3 Received : 2010-02-17

Packet 3 Sent : 2010-05-20

Packet 4 Received : 2010-06-23

Booked into Norman Bates Hotel: 2010-07-29

Medical : 2010-07-29 (4 letters issued >.<)

Interview Date : 2010-07-30 (pending medical results)

Email from Embassy: 2010-10-22 They confirm they have medical results, we are under final review.

Courier website : 2010-11-2 shows packet enroute for delivery. 1st indication of final approval! Or is it??! argh the suspense!

Visa Delivered <3 : 2010-11-3 K1 Visa packet delivered by courier! *cup of tea to celebrate*

US Entry (Dulles) : 2011-2-27 Hot Tomales time <3

Hello,

You have not mentioned your nationality so i am going to assume.

If you are a visa national citizen you must apply for a new UK visa to be able to enter UK.

if you are from EU country then contact the UK embassy in USA for advice. The Airline won't allow you boarding if you don't have proper documentations.

Green card holders do not apply for an ESTA.

April 28, 2011: Received NOA1 via text/email, file routed to CSC (priority date April 25th)
April 29, 2011: Updated
May 3, 2011: Received NOA1 hardcopy in mail
July 26, 2011: Received NOA2 via text/email!!!
July 30, 2011: Received NOA2 hardcopy in mail
August 8, 2011: NVC received file
September 1, 2011: NVC case number assigned
September 2, 2011: AOS invoice received, OPTIN email for EP sent
September 7, 2011: Paid AOS bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 9, 2011)
September 8, 2011: OPTIN email accepted, GZO number assigned
September 10, 2011: Emailed AOS package
September 12, 2011: IV bill invoiced
September 13, 2011: Paid IV bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 14, 2011)
September 14, 2011: Emailed IV package
October 3, 2011: Emailed checklist response (checklist generated due to typo on Form DS-230)
October 6, 2011: Case complete at NVC
November 10, 2011: Interview - APPROVED!!!
December 7, 2011: POE - Sea-Tac Airport

September 17, 2013: Mailed I-751 to CSC

September 23, 2013: Received NOA1 in mail (receipt date September 19th)

October 16, 2013: Biometrics Appointment

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

You don't need ESTA if you have a green card. When you fill out your Advanced Passenger Information you put your country of residence as US and your country of citizenship as UK (I'm assuming) and it'll ask for your alien registration number. ESTA is only for people visiting the US not residents. Just don't forget to take your green card with you!

Oh, im terribly sorry, I am a British Citizen. Living in America due to marrying a US Citizen.

I would like to visit my Family in the UK, for Tea and crumpets and then return back to the Usa.

We did call British Airways....Guy was as useful as a wet fart.

I know it's only $10 for the Esta, but that $10 can go towards the kitty for a Newcastle Brown Ale.
