Guys I'm new here. What suggestions can you give me on how can i and my Girlfriend Communicate? :) If possible thru SMS and Calls. and what are the US rates? Thanks in advance :) have a good Day!

Hi, I chat with my fiance with SKYPE VIDEO CHAT & YAHOO VIDEO CHAT, they are both free. You just need internet and a web cam.

You can also download an app called VIBER to your phone and she must download it as well to her phone. i believe that it would be free to chat with her that way as well. good luck.

I Looooooove my baby Lyn.

If you are using GLOBE, you can buy a pre-paid card "IDDTIPID", 100 pesos worth of card gives you 40 mins call, costing like P2.50 per minute -- you can use it on a staggered call, this is beneficial when you are mobile, not online in your computer, as long you have cellular signal.

If you are using Smart, PLDT or Sun, then you can buy their international card to call US, I think it gives you like only P 2.00 per minute. Cheaper than you make local calls.

Other means, yahoo and skype chats / video call or thru viber.... these are free use.

She can also buy a majic jack and send it over to you so can call her US phone numbers anytime for free.

I have a Blackberry that I register to Smart's BB MONTH BIS (599pesos/30days) and my hubby uses a Samsung (with unlimited Tmobile data plan around $80/month) and we use WhatsApp to exchange unlimited messages and pics.

If you're both using a Blackberry you can register to Smart's BBM ONLY prepaid plan for 100pesos/30days. Unlimited BBM access. Globe doesn't have this kind of plan for their prepaid subscribers but it is available for their postpaid users (100pesos/30days).

I'm just not sure how much a Blackberry data plan would cost in the US.

Globe has a great deal through their International DUO program. A US number is assigned to the Philippines cell number. I subscribe to this for my Fiancee. It's $25 a month US and I can call her anytime. All it uses is my cell minutes. It's awesome! Saves a LOT of money!

That's true. I have things worked out so if she wants to talk to me, she calls my number and lets it ring a couple times then hang up. It hasn't cost her anything to do that so far. She just has to make sure she hangs up before my voicemail picks up.

Then have her call you from US anytime. If she has unlimited minutes then she doesn't need to worry about overage. Only add $25 to her current plan.

Good luck!
