Hello,

I searched my question below on this forum, but can't find the answer.

We received two marriage certificates, one with the word "husband-in local language", another with the word "wife-in local language".

The rest of contents are identical.

I am not sure if there are other countries that issue such marriage certificates.

In your opinion, do you think we have to submit both certs copies and english translation for both certs?

Never heard such thing, if the purpose of two marriage certificates is to just translate it (one in Indonesian language and another in English), then may be it will reduce your task to submit another translated copy of marriage certificate. If you are muslim you have to submit Nikah nama and translation of it also.

China issues two separate marriage books as well. You can submit a certified translation of either one but it's probably best to translate the one provided to the citizen of the country in which the marriage took place. We had my wife's book translated.
