I will be traveling to HCMC and planning to visit the counselor. Is it any benifical to my case or harm my case? I hope to receive feedback from people have had experience regarding this topic. By my case in AP last 1/18/2011, CR1 and CR2. Thank you

been there done that.. they will not allow you to talk to the CO handling the case. You will be told the case is under review we will contact the beneficiary when we are done. it can't hurt at this point given how long its been in AP. You can submit additional evidence if you feel there is something that is missing that is causing them to look deep into the relationship. This can cause the case to take longer.

Being in AP is a very frustrating thing to endure. They will finish at some point, it just takes a long time. Send them an inquiry via the online form every month to touch base. Expect the late night phone call interview and the possibility of the two investigators coming to the beneficiary's home/work asking questions. Once the calls or visits take place that means the end of AP is near. Could be a few months, could be well over a year. It depends on the CO. Having your congressional rep make a status inquiry can help.

Since your case has been in APfor so long, I highly advise the congressional inquiry.

Moving to VN regional as this is a VN consular specific topic.
