I-601 hardship letter, question about dates/notarization

So my friend, he's a USC, he sent in the waiver packet on his wife's behalf (she's in Mexico). He signed and notarized the last page of the letter on Sept 18, but at the beginning of the letter he changed the date to Sept 28 (the day that he put it in the mail) just so it will appear to be as updated as possible.

So, my question is:

Will this have a bearing on the decision? I mean, the date of the letter says Sept 28 but on the last page, where he makes his concluding statements, it has Sept 18th.

Oh and his wife signed the I-601 form, beforehand (before she left for Juarez) and the date on THAT is Sept 19th.

Because the dates of these forms are all different, is this going to be a problem?

Thanks!

It appears to be just a typo, but one can never be sure how the adjudicating officer will see it. Now all he can do is wait to see if it will cause any delays.
