What is letter "U" under sex on EAD card...

Hello everyone!...I received in mail today my EAD card,i found out that under my sex is letter "U",what is this mean? :bonk: .supposed to be "F" coz i'm female... anyone has the same issue here? please need your advice... Thanks!

June 15 Wedding "Blessed Day!" thank God!

July 13'12 Appointment Civil Surgeon

Adjustment Of Status

July 18'12 Send my application for AOS

July 20'12 USPS delivered my docs. to USCIS Chicago,IL

July 23'12 USCIS received Application(Priority date)

July 26'12 Check cash out/got txt@email,received my application

July 30'12 received mail NOA1(AOS/EAD/AP)

Aug.22'12 Biometrics done(Detroit,MI)

Sept.19 USCIS mailed a noticed they approved my Travel Docs.

Sept.20 EAD card on production(approved in 60 days!)

Sept.25 USPS pick up mail from USCIS(EAD card on the way!)

Sept.27 EAD card received.

Sept 28 went to SSOffice for name change on SSN card.

Oct 05'12 Got my new SSN card.

April 16'13 USCIS emailed Case Status:Card/Document Production.

April 20'13 Recieved mail from USCIS welcome notice.

April 22'13 USCIS email that USPS picked up mail containing my GC.

April 25'13 Green Card on hand,finally!...

Weird! I guess someone (again) forgot to type F or M before launching the production of the card. :P

I vote for Unknown too...

K-1 Visa Timeline AOS Timeline

- Aug 31st, 2011 - Mailed I-129F package - May 29th, 2012 - Mailed AOS/EAD/AP package

- Apr 13th, 2012 - Visa received - Aug 24th, 2012 - Green Card received

ROC Timeline

- May 19th, 2014 - Mailed ROC package to CSC

- Aug 8th, 2014 - Green Card received

N-400 Timeline

- Dec 29th, 2021 - Filed online. Got notice that biometrics will be reused.

- Now waiting...

Maybe it means unknown or unidentified. That's all I can think of.

I guess your right,I just check the picture i took on my camera of my I765 form,I forgot to check the box for Female under Gender. :bonk: ...Do you think i can still used this EAD card? I have job interview tomorrow. :(

I'm not an expert on this issue, but I think it will be obvious you have a gender, and it's female. I think at your job interview you can just tell them it's a typo (mistake). That's if they notice and ask. They wouldn't issue you an invalid card, and they marked 'U' under sex so they know it was missing information. If they needed that information to make the card valid, they would have waited to issue it to you until they had all the information they needed to make it valid. I don't think a small mistake like this makes the card invalid, but I'm not an expert. It's just my thoughts.
