Hello :) I've just submitted the required K1 visa documents to the London Embassy. I had my medical yesterday. I would really appreciate advice on the timescales we are working to from here. How long does it take to get an interview date once the Embassy has all that they require (as far as "packet 3" goes)?

Secondly, has anyone had their London interview recently - what information did you take with you?

I suggest checking out the embassy reviews (link is at the top of the page) so you can hear some first hand experience from those who have gone through London. Also, consider checking out the regional forums for that area as well. :) Good luck!

It seems to vary, but it's taking about 3-4 weeks for London to process the packet 3 forms/assign an interview date, then I've seen people get interviews within 2-6 weeks after London finishes processing the forms. My timeline might tell you what to expect.

Did you submit a cover letter with you wedding date along with your DS-2001? Sometimes London tries to accommodate the date by giving a sooner interview if if the wedding is soon.

Cori and Rob - I see you got engaged a day before us (we were 26th December, 2011), and submitted your application back in Feb like us... So happy you have an interview date. Hopefully ours won't be too far away. We don't have a wedding date yet - we want to wait untl we have our interview date. All the very best with the 11th :)
