Hi all. I am waiting for my NOA2 from Vermont, and being a March filer, I am hoping for news within the next month or so. I am trying to prepare myself for the next steps, but I am a bit confused about what exactly I (as the petitioner) must do.

After I receive the NOA2, do I need to contact the NVC/Paris Embassy? Like, if I did not contact them, what would happen? I know from there everything gets sent over to the embassy in Paris, and my fiance will be notified about it. Does he have to make a medical appointment himself, or will it be assigned to him? I know the visa appointments are assigned. Also, I keep on reading about package 3 or 4, and I am a bit confused about what exactly that is.

I know what I am supposed to send my fiance for his visa appointment (copy of 129-F package, affidavit of support, proof of relationship, etc.), but if someone could just tell me what exactly I am supposed to do (and my fiance) once I receive the much anticipated NOA2, I would greatly appreciate it!

Thank you all :)

I dont know exactly how it works the american consulate on france but after the noa 2, procedures are mostly the same.after getting the noa 2, your package is foward to the NVC and they recheck the package and they give you a new case number. You should call them o get this number and they will tell you how proceed. Then the NVCsends your package to Paris. The package 3 contemns all the forms and a list of items your fiance needs to gather like birth certificate and police records and send it back to embassy. They also give you the date of the interview. In my case, Venezuela doesnt have ny of this packages. Once your package reach to the embassy you email them nd ask for the interview and then they mail you back with the date and the items you need to bring with you. Check France portal and Oaris embassyreview for further information cause procedures change accoring to the country

6033340700 call that number have your recpt # from uscis with you. Tell them you want to know the progress on your case and your case number. I just called today.

They let me know they sent my things to my consulate today and gave me my case #. My next step is to mail the forms and stuff to my fiance. While I give the consulate a week to receive and my process our file. Then I will contact them to see if they scheduled an interview date. I know that part is country specific. So try to ask questions in your regions thread to see if they, just wait for the beneficary to get the packet 3.
