This email is a little late, but the AOS Interview Experience on 9/12/12 was very smooth ... got in and waited for about 40 minutes and Interview lasted 20 minutes. My wife & I were prepared with originals/copies & extra evidence, most of which we were surprisingly not asked to show. There was a minor hiccup after we were sworn in. The IO confirmed a typo in my entry date for my aos form, which I nervously but honestly admitted to. After correcting typo (whew!) the IO went through rest of form with me without issues. IO questioned my wife next (relaxed as always), and then asked us about our relationship since the beginning. Questions were not too intrusive, but relevant. After showing our wedding pictures and joint life evidence about a recent trip, IO approved us on the spot. IO mentioned that the Green Card (which will arrive by mail 1-2 wks later) is Conditional. IO also advised us on steps to take when preparing to file Removal of Conditions, and then wished both of us the best.

Thanks to VJ and all that participated and helped. This is a great site to be a part of. The paperwork was heavy, but we saved quite a bit of money and gained valuable experience ... well worth the journey.

Peace!

what documents, proves you had at the interview? we have our interview in 3 weeks, in Orlando too :)

Together we carried:

- Complete copy of application and copies of supporting documents (IO will normally have copy of application on file)

- Original supporting docs used in application (passports, Nat certificate, birth certificates, marriage lic, tax returns, paystubs, employment letter, property ownership)

We also carried extra documents proving joint life, which the IO looked over:

- Both Drivers Licenses (IO copied these)

- Wedding Photo Book (IO looked thru ... wanted copies)

- Receipt of Honeymoon Reservation (IO kept)

- Travel Tickets, Reservation, Photo & Matching Post Card for recent trip in May (IO kept)

- Joint Bank Statements (IO kept)

The IO kept some of the originals (obviously we got our Drivers Licenses and Photos back)

If you plan too bring in extra documents, try carrying copies in addition to originals. I guess the main goal is to meet the checklist (Interview Notice) as much as possible.

Best Wishes
