My fiance is concerned that the postal service won't easily locate her house for the eventual delivery of the visa (the only document that will be mailed to her, most likely). Would it be okay for her to claim her aunt's residential address also as her own on the form? I don't want to do anything that may be considered illegal, but she spends a few days every month with her aunt and since she most likely doesn't have an "official" address recorded in any public system, would it be okay to list her aunt's?

Thanks.

Where is she from? Since many countries don't send any piece of mail to the beneficiaries, she may not need to do this. Most embassies nowadays either email it or make you download it.

Please complete your profile with the country and type of visa you are petitioning for, as it will help us help you.

She is from Colombia. From the research I did, they will not physically ship anything except for the final visa. This, of course, is the most important thing. She could request to pick it up in Bogota 5 days later, but she would rather not stay in Bogota for that long.

Ahh good, so she could possibly ask the embassy (at the time of the interview) to have it shipped to her aunt's, avoiding staying in Bogota and supplying an address that's not really hers.

You should probably visit the regional forum http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/96-mexico-latin-%26-south-america/ There are plenty members from (or going through) Colombia that may know about other options.

If you want, I can move this post to that forum so others can chime in. Let me know if you'd like to have it moved by sending me a Private Message.

She can choose to pick up the visa at the DHL location in her city, that way she can go back home after the interview and then pick it up herself, plus it's free of charge.
