Hi all,

We filed our petition April 6, 2012.. we received NOA1 april 9, 2012...

I am very anxious, it will be 5 months soon (september 9) and we haven't received the NOA2 yet... :(

Most of the people here got their NOA2 in 4 months since they received the NOA1... What am i going to do?? waiting seems to be the hardest part.

You should fix your timeline. You put down Texas but its either Vermont or California. If you went to Vermont you can expect your NOA2 to take about 5.5 - 6 months they are behind. I suggest changing that and it will give you an expected NOA2 date then call USCIS and ask them what is going on after the 5 month mark.

Good luck!

You're application went to California and you haven't been approved yet? I would call CSC tomorrow morning they are approving June applications now your April application should've been approved in July. I would call USCIS and ask to speak to a tier 2 officer (I think that is what they are called). But you should call tomorrow and continue calling until they give you some kind of answer. When I was filling out my application I called USCIS several times and some agents were very helpful while others were so rude I couldn't believe the way there were treating me. I hope you get someone who is willing to help.

Good luck

OK here is what you are suppose to do. Wait until 5 months and 1 day beyond your Priority Date called NOA#1. Call the USCIS and politely ask for a "Service Request for Beyond Normal Processing Time". Then they will ask you to wait up to 15 business days before calling them back. We got our NOA#2 about 10 business days later.

Good Luck

The OP is applying for a K-1 visa, not AOS. I have moved the thread to the K-1 forum so as to avoid any further confusion as the processes and time lines are totally different and not interchangeable.
