I am somebody who is just barely over the 125% of the poverty line requirement for my fiancee and me. I started a business in March. I was filling out the I-134 form to send along with all the other required documents to my Fiancee now that my Second Notice of Action has arrived. The I-134 demands a tax return for self employed persons or lacking that a Commercial Rating Concern (Something I have never heard of). I did some investigating and discovered that I haven't been in business long enough to generate a Commercial Rating Concern either.

Is this the time to have my co-sponsor fill out the I-864 form (And gather his supporting documents)and send it along with all my other material to my fiancee? If I cannot supply a tax return or Commercial Rating Concern and if the only employer statement I can provide is one that I typed up myself it would seem that I need my Co-Sponsor to step in and fill the gap.

Please inform me if this is the appropriate time to have my Co-Sponsor provide the I-864 form. Thanks.

You would have a joint sponsor complete a form I-134 and supply all needed documents.

a 'commercial rating concern'

can be replaced by

a cpa's 'income and loss statement (audited)'

so for 'current annual income' you should be able to put together 1 or 2 quarters of an income/loss statement with yer CPA.

Good Luck !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
