AOS

Hi all,

The NVC has received my application. I called them and the lady told me that this week or next both I and my wife in Philippines would receive an email with instructions.

My question is about the AOS. I included one with my I-130 app because i thought i should. Will they accept that? If they dont then my question is this: Will i need to send another AOS to the NVC from me here in the states?

The reason I ask is because it seems to me that my wife in the Philippines has to take the original AOS to her interview in Manila. This is confusing to me.

Can anyone help?

The I-864 and relevant documentation for AOS is submitted to the NVC, it is not submitted with the I-130. You will need to resubmit the AOS package after the AOS bill has been paid.

The whole package is then sent to the embassy before the interview although I have made multiple copies of every package which will also be brought to the interview just in case. Better to be over prepared.

ok thank you. So.. I will send the AOS package to the NVC. Then the NVC sends the package to the embassy? For some reason i was thinking that my wife had to show up at the interview with the AOS package. Will the embassy already have it when goes to her interview?

It should be in the file when it arrives at the Embassy. However, it's better to have a copy of the package and not need it than need it and not have it.
