My wife and I just submitted all of our documents and received delivery confirmation from the post service we used on Friday, August 31st. How long does it usually take the NVC to process these documents? This is the only thing holding us back from getting our interview date.

You can call NVC to see if your case is now complete....603-334-0700

It usually takes about 5-10 working days.

....but I think you will soon find out that that is not the only thing holding you back

Many here have a case complete for more than a month and still do not have interview date.

I called them earlier today, and they gave me a basic repsonse of please allow up to 20 days for completion from the date it was mailed (august 29th, 2012)

That's all they say all the time

But the wait is not to long for reviewing and getting your case completed it takes 5-10 working days

scheduling your interview date is the problem

based on the research that I have done for Morocco, the interviews are generally 1-1.5 months out. I am just getting antsy because I hope and pray to have my wife home by thanksgiving.

Hopefully you will good.gifgood.gif

If they complete the case by second week of Sep you may get an Oct date otherwise by this point Embassey does not issue any more appointments to NVC for the following month. If you get closed out later you have to wait for the first week of Oct when they issue appointments for November. We closed out March 31st too late for April, the second week of April My husband was scheduled for the last week of May. There is no guarantee as it all depends how many complete cases are waiting before yours, NVC told me it may be in Jine but we got on for May. Good luck.....
