Well, it depends.

I got mine more than a month after our NOA2.

Don't worry, you could still go ahead with your fiancee's medical exam without the letter.

Just provide them with your MNL case# and tell them that you got the case# through NVC.

I had my medical exam without the copy of the letter, so you should be fine.

So we went to the St. Lukes Clinic. (we do have the MNL case# courtesy of NVC)but they require the original letter containing the MNL case#. When will my fiancee receive the letter/packet from US Embassy?

As i far as i know, i never had an original copy of manila case number letter on my medical exam. Im sure you got a mail from them containing case number right? My fiance sent a scan copy to my email and i printed it. Just bring the printed copy and you will be fine!

Never regret. If it’s good, it’s wonderful. If it’s bad, it’s experience.

My fiance only had the MNL case number as well not the paperwork. They will ask for it, BUT YOUR FIANCEE CAN STILL GO THROUGH AND PROCESS WITH THE MEDICAL. She didn't recieve the paper until after we had already done the interview and got approved. That is when she got the paper showing the NOA2.

When you scheduled your interview you should've gotten confirmation, a copy of that confirmation will get you into SLMCEC. Unless what you stated is a new SLMCEC policy, an original letter, which I assume you mean the NOA2 from NVC was not required in the past.

We just did the medical exam.

I got this from St.Luke website's requirements page:

"d. Appointment letter from the Embassy or Instruction letter from the National Visa Center (NVC), if available"

My question is:

Appointment letter from US Em <-- is this the email one received after scheduling an interview with US Em?

Instruction letter from NVC <-- is this the NOA2?

Is the agent at the ST.Lukes reception area asking for the original letter from US Em, is he asking for the packet/letter with MNL case# that my fiance is suppose to received?

Or is he asking for the original NOA2 that I received in the states?

I just want my fiancee to be complete when she do the interview

I think what they 'require' is the Interview Appointment Confirmation, not the original letter from the embassy. At least that's how it was in our case.

When you make your appointment, you get a confirmation page. THey want copies of that.

Correct. My fiancee did not have a letter from the embassy with the Manila case number. They asked for it. However she had the email confirmation of her embassy appoitment and that was acceptable.

Did you get an email from NVC with the case number? You can use that. With trouble getting interview dates at the embassy using the appointment confirmation is difficult.

If you did not get the letter or email from NVC you can email them and they will reply, then you can print that out and use it.

NVC CONTACT INFORMATION:

Website: www.immigrantvisas.state.govwww.immigrantvisas.state.gov

E-mail: NVCInquiry@state.gov (I found NVC to be very quick responding to emails)

REQUIRED SECURITY INFORMATION:

You are required to provide the following security information with each inquiry to receive a case specific response:

* NVC Case Number or USCIS Receipt Number (Place in the subject line of the e-mail).

* Petitioner's name and date of birth.

( NOTE: If the visa petition is employment-based, include the employer's company/organization name instead of the petitioner's name and date of birth. )

* Principal Applicant's name and date of birth.

Agreed, waiting for those instructions from USEM is time consuming, usually they arrive after the beneficiary has completed

the interview/medical/CFO portion of the process and many times after the beneficiary has arrived in the U.S.
