our case got transferred to NBC MO at Lee's Summit. We originally sent it to Vermont. Any idea what's a 'normal' processing time would be for us? We sent it in mid August. I'm about ready to curl up and cry :(

They transfer your case to NBC it should be consider as luck, if you would of stuck with Vermont, not only you'll be curl up and cry but be ready for a longggggg wait in line. Many people file in June in Vermont still waiting for approval, as the clock ticking, yes they waited 8 months plus.

All other services center are clearing case in July and August 2012 where as Vermont still working on June 4th and they are taking their sweet time too.

That's what I thought though, that being transferred would mean we'd get our petition processed faster. But it's been almost six months and there's barely any news :(

so when I check on USCIS, how do I know the status or what's going on with our petition. There's barely anything and even calling the helpline doesn't help. All they do is tell us to wait. Pfffttt.

Anyone else got transferred to NBC MO?

As some one received NVC case number yet? Especially those who were approved on February 6? I'm waiting :(

I was approved on Feb 6 too and the NVC clerk explained yesterday that they are a little bit backed up with the snowstorm closing the office on Friday, and the holiday on Monday. Keep calling once a day and be polite, but don't expect anything till next week at least.

Try this website: http://www.uscis.gov

All the numbers is under " CONTACT US "

P.S. Since your NOA1 is August 14th it will be held at VSC, and any petition filed 15th or after will be forwarded to NBC or other facility for further processing but still register under Vermont. Currently Vermont services center has posted their most current activity which is June 4, 2012 for I-130 (spouse, parents, etc...) so it hasn't past your Post Date: August 14 so likely they will tell you to wait.

Wow! Congratulations.... :) :) :) :)

By the way, your signature says that you placed an e-request. Was it because 6 months has passed after you had your NOA1?

Mine was filed Aug. 23 and whenever we try placing an e-request it just says that our case is still within processing times.

Feb5-Changed address, but took them 5 days to update my case w/ my new address(Feb.10). Feb10, I tried e-request but will not push thru since it was still under posted procesg time. So by Feb15, my e-request was finally accepted.

Hmmm...could the change in address e-request made them notice your case? Or maybe you're really next in line that's why you got approved.

Your approval actually gave me high hopes that mine will be next anytime soon coz your filing and NOA1 dates are just a few days behind mine.

Oh well, good luck on NVC....i hope that all of us waiting so long be on that stage too soon! :)
