How long for i-864 and ds230- for review??

Hello,

in my case NVC finished review of I-864 last Friday, Oct. 20, it took 3 weeks since the time it was received, my DS-230 was posted on Oct.13 so i'm hoping they take 3 wks to review this form. :(

  • 3/24/15 - sent I-130 package via FedEx priority
  • 4/04/15 - NOA1 received
  • 5/07/15 - NOA2 received **Priority date 3/25/15**
  • 6/09/15 - NVC email with case & invoice # (no further processing until case is current)
  • 1/20/16 - NVC welcome letter rcvd , along with AOS invoice
  • 1/21/16 - Agent of choice sent
  • 2/02/16 - IV Fee invoice rcvd
  • 2/05/16 - Paid AOS & IV Fees
  • 2/10/16 - DS-260 completed and submitted
  • 2/10/16 - AOS & Civil supporting docs sent to NVC via FedEx
  • 2/12/16 - docs arrived to NVC
  • 2/17/16 - NVC Scan Date (letter via email stating all docs rcvd on 2/12 , will take 30 days to review docs.)
  • 3/15/16 - Case Complete via phone
  • 3/22/16 - Case Complete via email
  • xx/xx/xx Interview Date Received
  • xx/xx/xx NVC shipped out case to Embassy
  • Embassy

Yes, it takes about 2-4 weeks to review DS 230 and I-864 packet.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview

I did I864, don't know if it takes longer when to review I-864 ez , i hope not.

I don't think it would take longer to review I-864 than I-864 EZ.

according to soulm8z0928, his only took a week for his I-864EZ. he checked his case yesterday. i'm hoping the same thing. i'll be checking today. you must talk to an operator. i don't think it will be on the automated service info

hi

i just spoke to a live operator , according to him EZ is still being reviewed..It will take 2-4 wks.She also told me that EZ takes the same amount of time as others, no difference

yes, mine took only 1 week, if what the operator told me was correct. she definitely said "it has been reviewed and everything is ok", so i took that to mean it's finished. but mine was pretty straightforward, i was well over the 125% level and used just my salary and I-864EZ. so no other documents were required, just letter of employment and tax transcript. i hope you all have just as speedy an approval as i did.

u r lucky to have I864 reviewed in 1 week, but still got to wait for ds-230 so it a same amount of tme..

well yea, but it's not about the time, it's about now i can stop worrying if i'll get an rfe.
