Received our NOA2 on the 3rd of August and have been waiting for the next step....got this email today and don't understand what it means, could anyone please help explain.

Application Type: I129F , PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

Your Case Status: Card/ Document Production

On August 21, 2012, the post office returned your document I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) as undeliverable. If you do not contact us at 1-800-375-5283 within 180 days from August 21, 2012, this document will be destroyed and you will need to file a new application with fee.

This step applies to applications that result in an applicant receiving a card (such as a "green card") or other document (such as a naturalization certificate, employment authorization document, travel document, or advance parole). Applications will be in this step from the time the order to produce the card/document is given until the card/document is produced and mailed to the applicant. You can expect to receive your card/document within 30 days of the approval of your application.

If you do not receive your document, please contact our National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283.

If you have questions or concerns about your application or the case status results

listed above, or if you have not received a decision from USCIS within the current

processing time listed*, please contact USCIS Customer Service at (800) 375-5283.

I'm thinking that you have yet to receive your NoA2, and that is because USCIS mailed you your NoA2 but the post office failed to deliver it and returned it to USCIS.

SO! I would suggest that you call the 1-800 number posted above, and provide them with your correct address so that they can mail out your NoA2 to you, as you will need it later on in your journey.

I could be wrong, but that is my best guess.

Not yet, we've been waiting on that. My fiance has a PO Box, I'm wondering if that might be the issue.

That's a good possibility. Since I assume you have nothing else pending with USCIS, this email probably is related then. That is all I can think of. Either that, or some fluke on their part.

You could contact them and try giving them an alternate address to send it to.
