Do you have to translate the emails for proof of relationship?

I was wondering what everyone was doing for the emails and letters from couple years ago... That will meana alot of translating from Japanese to English!!

Please let me know what you guys did.

6-8-2006 - Sent I-129f form

6-12-2006 - Received I-797, NOA1

7-11-2006 - Received IMBRA RFE

7-27-2006 - IMBRA RFE approved

7-28-2006 - Touched

9-5-2006 - Touched (86 days since NOA1)

9-8-2006 - Received I-797C, NOA2 Approved!! (89 days since NOA1)

9-29-2006 - NVC to Embassy (110 days since NOA1)

10-3-2006 - Received Packet 3

11-13-2006 - Interview date (Passed!!)

11-28-2006 - Fiance coming to US!!

No, If a few were in engish you may include them, you can even white out anything that is personal.

What I did was pick 4 or 5 emails, and included a log showing a list of the more than 300 emails we exchanged, nothing more, they just want to see that you have been exchanging mail not the content of the mail.

Also I included a log of chats using Yahoo and Skype.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

11 May 05 sent petition to Bogota

18 May Packet 3 arrived

19 May Checklist taken to consulate

31 May Packet 4 delivered

29 June visa granted

1 July Visa delivered

Sometime in July Lucero came to US

13 Sept 05 Married

1 Nov 05 -USCIS recieved 485 and EAD

13 December RFE stupid things I should have included Returned very quickly

27 March received bio letter for New Orleans

7 Apr_06 Bio done in New Orleans

20 April 06 Touched on all applications

21 April Email received EAD approved

27 Apr Received EAD card

30 May 2006 Received appointment letter for JaX on 13 July 2006

13 July Interview successful approved

20 July Received green card

30 June 08 Sent I751 to remove conditions

25 July 08 Application returned erroneously incorrect fee

27 July mailed new application with separate checks

15 Sept 08 Application returned erroneously K2 not within 90 day timeframe

17 Sept Mailed 3rd application with mountains of proof of error copied Senator Mel Martinez

09 October 4th application package sent. This time they said the app signature page was a copy

10 Oct Sent package again 4th time.

25 Oct Received another NOA for Wife with $625 for the amount with one year extension

30 Oct 2008 Still nothing for step daughter. Checks still haven't cleared the bank

24 November Checks finally cleared the bank

February biometrics for wife Nothing for daughter.

This is silly, just today i was thinking about this, our emails are all mixed, most have english, spanish and french in them, should i bring them like that? also, print them in color or bnw?

July 06/06.............. Thanks God everything is ready and my baby finally mailed I-129f

July 17/06.............. Check was cashed

July 18/06.............. Thx God we got our NOA1 from CSC

Sep 20/06............... Thx God! NOA2 date

Sep 21/06............... touched; got 5 approval emails! thank you Lord!

Oct 18/06............... My baby got the letter from NVC

Oct 24/06............... Oh, Lord, You are so great! got our packet 3 today!!! yupi!!! early bday present!!!

Oct 30/06............... Mailing away my DS-156, thank you for your blessings, God

Nov 01/06............... Medical @ 8am

Dec 14/06............... My baby got packet 4

Jan 06/07............... We requested our Interview to be scheduled for January 22nd! my baby's bday! and he will be allowed 2b inside with me!! wow!

Jan 22/07............... VISA APPROVED!!! THANK YOU LORD!!!

Jan 29/07............... Went to cargo expresso to get my passport, which means: VISA RECEIVED!!!

Apr 27/07............... Married my one and only at 10;30am

Jul 06/07............... Finally mailed away AOS

Jul 19/07............... Check was cashed

Jul 21/07............... Thanks God we received NOA1

Jul 24/07............... Thanks God we received Biometrics letter

Ag 17/07............... Biometrics @ 12

anyone knows how to print ou the log for voice to voice communication in skype? we do that a lot. I can see i can print for txt msging within skype but not for the aforementioned way of communication. In other words how do I print out the history for my records? thx.

We didn't translate our emails because we wanted the COnsulate to see that we both speak French and that is how we communicate. I think as long as they see both of your email addresses plus the dates you sent them it should be fine. I highlighted those things on the emails I printed out.

Some (many?) consulates will accept documents in the native language. Check with the consular section in Tokyo to find out what their policy is.

Also keep in mind that what you need to show about the relationship is that it is not intended to circumvent US immigration law as a means getting the alien into the USA. If the documents that you plan to present do not suit that purpose, there's no reason to submit them.
