Just trying to get some information before I deceide. I may be having my first child in Palestine because my husband's I-130 has a long way to go ( I just applied last month). So how long would it take before my baby would get the US pasport and SSN? it would be issued from the Jerusalem Consulate. Has anyone had a baby overseas and had to apply for citizenship for their child. And yes I'm a US citizen by birth.

Im sure every consulate is different, however here in Serbia it takes 3 weeks from when you apply for the CRBA at the consulate. Check with the Embassy there to see what proof is needed that you should bring to the Embassy. I needed proof that I was in the USA for 5 years, tax returns, school transcripts etc.
