if you live here in Argentina, it is really easy.

it takes 5 days if you want to pay a few pesos, and only 6 hours if you want to pay more pesos =p

Thanks. Problem is my fiancee lives in Kiev and will have to deal with the Argentine embassy there. I am not sure of the procedures.

In that case, follow the link Ergoox provided and find the part where it instructs on how to request it from abroad http://www.dnrec.jus.gov.ar/Desde_Exterior.aspx it's in Spanish. She will need to go to the closest Consulate of Argentina for which I attached an image with the information.

Thank you for the information. I followed the link in your message and it seems to say that (1) you can download the application and fill it out, then print it, (2) bring it to the Argentine embassy nearest to you, pay the fee, provide your ID and fingerprints, and (3) wait the required time and then upload your police certificate to your computer.

My question is this: At my fiancee's embassy interview, will they accept this printed certficate? If anyone knows....

They should. This is official data they will be handing out. You can always contact the Embassy of Argentina in Kiev and present the situation to them.

When you ask for it in Argentina, it works almost the same way. I even asked them before I left the place, because I noticed there was no real signature or anything; and they explained to me that the bar code contained everything.
