190+ Vermont Service Center

I am calling this number tomorrow, and I am asking for Mr. Gregg himself. There is no need to rake a receptionist over the coals...go straight to the man in charge.

Also, I called our normally disappointing number again today (the customer service one) and asked for a Tier 2 person...I think that the Tier 2 was more rude and less helpful than the first level people. She gave me the same bs about working on Jan 16 applications and no expedited requests could be done.

EVERYBODY START CALLING THE VERMONT SERVICE CENTER. Don't worry about getting them angry..don't even give them your information about which petition is yours...just complain about the time and lack of communication and get into them a little bit.

i also called the customer service number. on Aug 2nd i was told that the VSC was currently working on applications received on Jan 16th.

Isn't it nice to see some April and May VCS applications being approved before those who have been waiting 175-190-200-250 plus days................

I have yet to see April and May filers from VSC getting approvals...plenty from CSC though

I am happy for you, truly. It is difficult for me because my NOA1 was February 6. Vermont approving petitions filed after mine feels like a sick joke. There is gross mis-management in that operation. We are just numbers. If they truly cared, they would process by date received. There seems to be now logical method to this. Congrats again

I just received the following response from my Congressman's office:

"This case is currently with an officer. Please allow 30 days for the officers review. If you have not heard from our office by the end of September, please feel free to contact our office again"

I'm not sure but I think this is good news

Got NOA2 08/06, NOA1 was 02/07, filed 02/01. Waiting for whats next. The whole thing is all about waiting and no one can plan based on this stuff. I want to make a trip to supply more evidence as we only met for 2 days and took only one picture together, but I need to know the interview day before I can make my trip plans...unfortunately all we have to do is wait.

I have a question, for the NOA1, are you putting the date of the receipt or the date they received the file? Mine says received on Feb 10th, and a notice date of Feb 14th.. not sure which date i should look at from.

it's a good news, that means your case has been allocated to an adjudicator and is already on his/her desk. They have now 30 days for a review so you will hear within 30 days :)

I'm putting the date they have marked it as received. In other words, when I log into USCIS to see the same "Initial Review" status, it says "On March 9, 2012....." that is the date I'm using. They received it March 5th, but I doubt that matters.

They simply don't care... I don't think there is a point doing whatever. We contacted a congressman, filed a service request, called - and one big NOTHING yet...

I bet all they do is put a comment in their data base - 'petitioner asked for an update'... if even this..

When CSC is doing so well, approving people for LESS THAN 90 days (?!?!?!?!?) why can't they just send few thousand applications from VSC to CSC?!?!?!??

It's ridiculous! People with my NOA1 date are already in the US...

I haven't seen my fiance since January.. I just wanna call them and scream in the phone..

Agree 100%

I know there are many from Vermont waiting longer than me but, it is truly disgusting to see CSC filers from late May being approved already. There is no rhyme or reason to this process. Everytime I see an "NOA2!!" post I congratulate and comment only if they are Vermont filer because I know I cant prevent some measure of nastiness in commenting if they are CSC.

Not that I particularly care about how much the fee was, but why are we paying the same amount for 2 grossly differing levels of service?

Maybe our concept of time makes this difficult. I once read that when asked what they considered to be a "long time", an American child aswered, 1 year. When asked the same question, a Chinese child of the same age answered, 10 years. I have not seen my Love in 197 days. If needed, I will wait another 197. Just thought I would add a little perspective. I know this doesn't make it any easier.

It hurts so much :( All of our plans and dreams are on hold till further notice. We won't even have a wedding this year. By the time I am back home to him we would have spent 1 year apart and 2 weeks together. :(

They should really fix this system.. It's heartbreaking for all of us..

Sometimes I can see where there is a time delay between when the USCIS approves a file and when the timeline is changed on Visa Journey. Sometimes it is 1 or 2 days later that the people, who are members on Visa Journey, will update their timeline---and then we all get to see which dated files that the USCIS has been working.

For Friday, August 17, it shows that California Center has approved the files of 9 Visa Journey members. For Friday, August 17, it shows that the Vermont has approved 0 files of Visa Journey members. Yet when the USCIS in Vermont approves 0 files why does Visa Journey keep changing the dates-- and say that Vermont is now working on Feb. 20. I call BullShit on whoever moves Visa Journey date forward and no Vermont files are approved that day.
