Hi,

I have a couple questions,

I received my Employment Authorization Card and I had the Interview for my I-485, Thankfully it was approved, no questions less than 5 minutes :)

now that I am looking for a job I know I need to get my SSN, can I change my last name (get my husband's)? we filled all the Inmigration papers with my last name not his

so I don't know what is the right way to change it if there is one!

Thank you for your help.

You can change your name, but you have to pay for a new Greencard replacement (Form I-90). If you wanted your husband's last name, you should have applied for the GC in that name.

Sorry, otherwise, for a free name change, you can wait until ROC if you are required to go through that step.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!
