So? It's OK for Nancy Piglosi to do but not Ryan?

Dude wake up. They were all doing it. They were immune from insider trading laws.

Ryan attended a closed meeting with congressional leaders, Bush's Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson, and Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke on September 18, 2008. The purpose of the meeting was to disclose the coming economic meltdown and beg Congress to pass legislation to help collapsing banks.

Instead of doing anything to help, Ryan left the meeting and on that very same day Paul Ryan sold shares of stock he owned in several troubled banks and reinvested the proceeds in Goldman Sachs, a bank that the meeting had disclosed was not in trouble.

...

Have a look at Ryan's financial disclosure form for 2008--you can click on each page to enlarge them. The "Transactions" section begins on page 12--scroll through and look at all the trades Paul Ryan made on "9-18-08"...

I thing it was legal for both. If they both did it, it only shows Ryan's true colors are no different than Pelosi's.

Ryan is as bad as Pelosi? Wow, that's really really bad.

At least he likes ice fishing.

The desire to give the rich even more tax breaks while cutting programs that benefit the 99%.

If you leave Medicare on autopilot, it will consume ALL of the discretionary spending of the federal government in the not too distant future.

Not good, if you like roads and bridges.

Yeah, austerity sucks, but guess what, we're broke.

Dude, is Nancy running as the No. 2 on a Presidential ticket? Any other member of Congress running? Did Obama and Biden trade on insider information? If so, I'm sure it'll be highlighted soon enough. In fact, it probably would have been highlighted some time ago. So much for your assumption that "they all did it".

There are no roads and bridges in Ryan's budget. There's is only entitlements and less defense spending than Romney has been calling for (3.75% of GDP vs. the 4%+ that Romney is promising). There's nothing else in Ryan's budget. Or there is but then there will be no balanced budget.

If we don't reform the entitlements, there won't be any money left for anything else.

There won't be any money left for defense. There won't be any money left for homeland security.

No money for roads, no money for bridges, no money for agriculture or commerce or energy or any other departments and programs.

Ryan understands it. Obama does not.

Entitlements. Pfft. What needs to be reformed first and foremost is the health care system. It already eats up almost a fifth of the economy and it's getting worse year after year. Health care will bankrupt the country long before the entitlement programs do if it is left on it's trajectory. Businesses here are less competitive because of the rising cost of health care. Obama gets it. Romney and Ryan don't.

"Health care" includes Medicare and Medicaid, correct? That's entitlement reform.

The cost of the programs is tied to the rising cost of health care overall. It's that cost that needs to be controlled. Sure, you can reduce the Medicaid and Medicare benefits and leave the old and poor to fend for themselves. And the health care system will still wreck the country. You gotta get to the root of the problem. Sure, there are design flaws in the Medicare and Medicaid systems - fee-for-service, for example. Those need to be addresses and - coincidentally - ACA attempts to do that. Doesn't go nearly far enough but - as you would say - it's a start.

We can debate the right way to reform Medicare, but what's clear is that it needs to reformed.

Obama hasn't mentioned "Medicare" and "reform" in the same sentence. Ryan has.
