We got there at about 7:40am for our 8am interview. For whatever reason we weren't seen until 9am.

The officer lead us into his office and asked us to take an oath.He had obviously read my file before we started as he asked me about the work I did overseas and whether or not I missed it. We then had a conversation, not really an interview - asking us to confirm details from the various bits of paperwork we had sent in (Nazi, prostitution and whatnot!)

He looked at our pictures and kept a couple. He also kept our bank account and credit card evidence. He then said he was approving us and gave us a letter detailing the ROC process.

The interviewing officer was very friendly and was always making conversation so we didn't have any lulls or quiet periods. It made the process that much easier!

11/29/12 - AOS Interview in Atlanta - 10 minutes long and approved on the spot.

ROC in 2014!

You filed one week prior to my filing. However, since some who filed in September already have their interviews, filing earlier doesn't seem to mean much. It is the local offices I think. I was going to make an Infopass but I read of a couple of people being insulted because their four months were not up yet so I cancelled my appointment. We both are in the system or we would not have received our EAD's. It is just discouraging to see everyone else move on in your group and then see those who file much later go on before you.

I really have enjoyed this forum even though daily checking and seeing others move on takes away some of the enjoyment.

Perhaps this next week we both will get some good news.

Oh yep, I understand the system. I've been on VJ a while, since we started our K1. But it's still frustrating/ disheartening. I'm thinking my interview will be in Jan or Feb. I really hope yours comes before mine. I'm fairly sure that my local office is the absolute slowest (I checked a lot of offices and none were behind mine).

Approved! Will update more when I get home :)

Congratulations!

So guess what we got APPROVED!!!. The interview was really easy .. We got there around 12.40 the interview was at 1.. but they ended up calling us around 2pm.. the IO was really friendly and nice, first question on our way to his office was how long have we been married.. than he ask us about work and than we did the oath ha I think he was hungry because he even mentioned he wanted to go to lunch...he asked how did we met, how did my hubby proposed and more about work.. then he asked me if I have been back to Colobia I told him no, but trying to convince hubby to go with me.. they started joking about going to Colombia and how dangerous.. anyhow my hubby picking on me.. he went over the I485 and copies of bank statements car and renters insurance, some pictures and my i94.. so then he said you'll get your temporary Green card because we have only been married 8 months and explained the process .. said to look for it in the mail within 3 weeks asked if we had questions and that was it. My status has yet to change online since my face-to-face approval last Thursday, but I don't know if that's to do with the recent website issues or if they haven't finalized things their end just yet?

I start my job in a week so pretty excited about that. I've been coordinating present buying with my folks back in the UK, they made an account with Amazon US and ordered things to be shipped here. It made what could have been a logistical nightmare that little bit easier.

Hope everyone else is well? Good luck to those with interviews this week and to those still waiting, I hope you hear something shortly.
