The most important thing is evidence of bonafide marriage such as joint documents. The interview notice says tax documents unless already submitted. They will not ask to see those because if they needed something pertaining to tax documents, they would have asked before they schedule an interview. You can however take them if that makes you more comfortable.

I have mine on the cloud and on two separate flash drives stored in different locations. I made a copy of all my supporting evidence too, just in case something happened...

well not that it matters anymore anyway lol but definitely would have been a good idea to have made sure they were on the Cloud.

I wasn't asked for anything extra at my interview but then again my interview wasn't "normal". We were only asked for my Passports and my husband's ID and birth certificate. I sent his tax transcript with the original package but that was it.

I used to say the same thing. I want kids but I don't want to give birth to them. I ended up pregnant with twins and I had a c-section. Giving birth is not bad at all, I had a c-section and a week later I was doing normal life. Is just a few days of being in pain/annoyed, and trust me, you will forget everything when you have a baby (or more) to take care of.

I'm 30 and Sean is 38, he always wanted kids. Me, not so much...hahaha

Lol I'm not sure if its gonna work for me. I was in the delivery room with my both my sis and BFF when they gave birth and I passed out. It was too much for me. And me and pain aren't friends. I bump my toe and the sky is about to fall lol

PEOPLE WATING FOR INTERVIEW LETTER:

ArJo, ASG, Renzo, youngcoconut ( over 45 days since biometrics), and soon EpsonDerby, and tanja (close to 30 days)

I saw this on July filers, pages 42-47 and thought about you guys:

biometrics 2 months ago. one girl DID see an update about letter being sent but never got it and missed appointment which is not your case,

second girl, never got updates but insisted and got answer from them

like you, they called and called with no luck and "being demanding" as an answer. Anyway, eventually they both got an answer from a superior. so... keep calling until transferred to someone that can check!

I called, they said they can't transfer me to a higher rep. because I need a specific reason and my AOS is still within processing time, which is 4 months. Will keep trying.

Regarding your interview letter, you should do the same thing I did...You have to call USCIS, but tell the representative you wish to speak to a higher representative or tier 2 representative, you will probably wait about 20 to 30 min. to speak to one. You then ask them if they have scheduled any interview for you...they'll let you know! An ordinary representative does not have access to that kind of info, you need to speak to higher rep. G

They cannot tell you that you can't speak to a higher rep., you have the right to do so, and they know it! Call again and tell them you need to speak to higher rep. because you've received EAD long time ago, and you're afraid you might have been scheduled and there wasn't any update on the USCIS website! If they say no, insist on it...they have to transfer the call! You have to tough on them...don't be afraid because they're just ordinary representatives..like the ones from sprint, and cable..lol..really!

Actually, I'm seeing that you've received your EAD in the middle of September...you need to call USCIS and ask to speak to a supervisor, or higher representative ASAP!!! You might have been scheduled for an interview long time ago and you don't even know! If you go a few pages back on this thread, you'll see my conversation with member Deblogs...she was in the same situation as you...I told her to call USCIS and speak to a higher rep., and guess what? She had been scheduled on September 20th for an interview on Oct. 24...and she never got any letter, or update! If she hadn't called, she would've missed it!!

You know what? Call them again tomorrow deblogs! When you get to speak to the higher representative, ask the location and time of your interview! When I hadn't received mine yet, and called them, they told me the time and location, because they have access to that information! So insist on it, and tell them you don't know where it is, you don't know the time, and you can even tell them that you don't know what to take to the interview...maybe that way they'll take action, and send you the letter once and for all!! Do that! Good Luck!!

I called at 7.59 am.....Ha ha ha! Well let'sjust say 45 minutes letter I got a faxed copy of Interview letter!!! My thank yous will soon start to sound trivial, so right now, I'll just say You rock, friend :-)

snapback.pngSummer2012, on 18 October 2012 - 02:47 PM, said:

Thank you Mariana D.A for your words. I called again the other day and the rep said I was demanding.... he got angry, but anyway, he transferred me to a higher rep. I told the higher rep that the previous person said I was demanding. He was laughing at the other side (although silently, but I could tell.) He asked my last name, then said I was ready to be scheduled for an interview on Aug.28th! He did a service request for me and said call USCIS if I haven't received an interview letter within 10-14 days. Then he said, Good luck, Mrs.xxxxxxx. Finger crossed!

--

I still wonder what happened! Why had I not been scheduled! I called USCIS many times after my biometrics (august 21) and they told me to wait 4 months! What can I do?! I told the higher rep my husband's email, so that we will be receiving the interview letter quicker than by mailing. Nothing comes yet.

I think I will wait until the end of the week (that will make it 37 days since biometrics) and if I haven't heard anything by then, I'll call and insist I'm escalated.

:ot2: PREPARING INTERVIEWS ....

what are you guys bringing to the interview?

1) A full copy of the file you sent?

2) + updated (last 2 months) paystubs, bank statements, and new photos?)

3) Did you keep copies of EVERY tax return/transcript page? and all pay stubs?

(I am going to my FIL (joint sponsor) tomorrow, I didn't made copies of every tax return page when I sent the package, and now I think I should get copies. he is traveling and not coming back until after interview, so tomorrow is my last chance)

4) Does the USC need to bring his passport? or just id (license) Hubby has his passport expired, like 10 years expired. We want to renew it so he can go meet my parents & country for xmas. Renewal takes at least a month, but I am afraid he needs it for the interview then we should wait until after interview (nov 6) to renew. though that would delay renewal process and make it tighter to buy tickets.

1) We took an exact copy of the package mailed but it wasn't needed.

2 & 3) I took updated pay stubs to reflect income since submitting the package but they were not asked for.

4) My passport wasn't asked for, just my ID so make sure the USC has their government issued ID. I renewed my passport but had it in time for the interview. I took my old one and my new one but again, it wasn't needed for my interview. I am not sure about anyone else's interview.

We were asked for:

Photos ID for me (USC), Gesi's passport and I-94 (which they kept/it expired Sept 2nd).

We also showed him Gesi's EAD/AP Combo card.

He asked for our original marriage certificate (at that time he did say he doesn't suspect we're lying, he just wants to see it in his hands, maybe to feel the seal stamp for authenticity??? - this was also at the beginning of the interview).

He also asked to see Gesi's original BC (which also looks like a Katrina survivor, haha that was funny). It's protected in a sheet protector to keep it together, lol.

And we were asked to see wedding photos. I told him we had copies of the ones submitted in the packet. He said "I am sure they are in here somewhere but I will look at the ones you brought". He then asked to see any additional photos of us together which I handed him as well. He didn't ask who were in the photos or where we were. He didn't even really look at them, just thumbed through as of shuffling a deck of cards.

Then he asked if we had any extra documentation or evidence since submitting packet. That's when I showed him a print out from USCIS website showing the EAD card was just mailed on Oct 12th and that's why we hadn't added him to my accounts or insurances. He said he understood.

The interview seem fine until he started asking about Gesi's kids and their ages (4, 6 and 9) and the date of his divorce (Dec 2009). That's when it went downhill.

But that is all that was asked of us.
