Just called them they are still on Jan 16th , he said from what he sees in his system everything is in order . They just waiting for the final decision , if there was anything questionable we would have got a letter to clarify or bring proof or something so to just be a bit patient and try back in 2 weeks at the latest

Don't get hung up with what day or week they are processing. Next minute next day a petition 3 or 4 months old gets approved. You never know. And you will drive yourself mad trying to figure it out.

Hi

K1 is a visa PATH, designed to help people to travel to USA with the main and only intention to get marry, later you would be able to adjust your status and become resident.

A tourist visa is designed for leasure and is for people with no intention to migrate if for tourists.

So you wont be able to star a tourist visa process with a K1 process in progress because someone applying for a K1 is someone that plan to migrate

Coming from the third world country...your chances of getting it is zero if they consider the fact that you have an intent to immigrate to the USA as indicated by your K-1. Just relax and wait for your K-1 and the normal process of your K-1. But you have the choice to make...you may still go ahead and see what will happen.

Yes but the probability for you to get the Visa is low and when they refuse your report in the US embassy will not be good ..so better wait for the K-1 process which is quite time consuming but hey is all good

A denial for a tourist visa does not have affect on K1 process. Unless someone lies trying to get tourist visa.

Edit: Just realized Xanax answered this..good.gif
