How often during the day are the Status Updates done for K1's on the website? What time also (and time zone)...

I am in a position where I am on a pc all day and I update the status about 100 times a day looking for a change. It only takes me a second each time I do it. I have a lot of free time at my job :) Am I wasting my time? Is there more convenient times to check?

Also up until how late PACIFIC TIME are statuses updated? I have mine at the CSC and I am in Pacific time. What do you guys think?

We aren't worried about our papers or anything but it is driving me nuts not being able to plan my life out at all.

Try not to check so much. I don't mean to be facetious but there is no specific time when they post it. It gets posted/RFE'd when they finishing with it.

I can remember when we were watching and checking all the time. I finally got mad and stopped checking. Especially when we were really close to being adjudicated. Then out of nowhere we got our approval.

Try not to focus on the wait is the only advise I can give. Whatever it takes for you to do that. It is hard.crying.gif

If you are referring to the USCIS case updates, sometimes, they get updated after the fact or don't get updated at all. I look at mine all the time too, but it is not a very reliable system. Some people have adjusted status and beyond, and the status of their K-1 was still in "Initial Review"! Just saying so you don't put too much value in it and stress too much over it.

Yeah its pretty much the only system I have to use to "relieve my bordem" but I just wanted to know if there is a more strategic timing that I can set up to "refresh" around.

My job is a job that takes a year or two until I have enough clients to be busy all the time. Unfortunately because of our product, there is a limited client list and territories and blah blah blah... so bottom line is for the next 9 months, I only have about 3 - 4 hours of work to do during my 9 hour work day. I have lots of free time and Twitter & FB are getting boring... lol

No real pattern - but I know how obsessive it can become - even knowing your status may never be updated in the Case Status system. Maybe think of something you can work on/design/plan for your house/garden or the future when you are together.

Mar 2011 - After 5mths denied for lost docs - Attempts to follow up failed. Mar 18 2012 - I-129F sent - No sign of NOA1 but they have banked the check...Jul 24 - Update - USCIS has located our file
Infopass Apt - they sorted through everything - our 2011 and 2012 file keep getting mixed up - getting us a Case# (still waiting) Dec- Infopass Appt- expecting to get a case # in about a week ..Still no Case number

Mar 2013 Infopass - advised file was in a box somewhere, and it would be quicker for us to refile. Life gets in the way... New petition submitted July 2014 .

Lucky indeed. This is my second i129F. My first wife was Mexican and we married, but it was soon after Sept. 11th and the DHS was just starting and changing from INS to BCIS to USCIS and so on.... It took us 10 months with a RFE. This time, it only took us 116 days.

Now that this part is out of the way, we have more control and can start planning our life since we have to move across the border into the USA.

Kind of notice they usually change the status around 9pm (Pacific Time).

-in my experience

(Last July 26 my status is still pending up to 8:45pm pacific time...I was already getting upset...I was like gggggr let me try it one more time. :innocent: Because someone here in vj mention they received text around midnight eastern time...so I was like hhhmmm maybe my status will change around 9:00pm...and it was lol  )

here's my post that night

No need to check at all. Register your case in the USCIS site and setup for e-mail and/or text msg. Then, just wait for it
