Just got the email--interview date set for September 4th at 11 am!

Our case was complete on July 25, and this is for the Sydney consulate.

Hope everyone gets good news soon!

I got mine is on Sep. 25.

our case is only 1 day after your case completed and at the same country.

But I have to wait for 3 weeks more to have the interview.

Anyway, I should be grateful about this.

At least, I got it!!!

But i was wondering (maybe you guys know) After my interview when am i allowed to travel to my husband´s arms?

As soon as that Visa is in your passport and you collect that "do not open" packet.

To those of you who already got your dates what have you dont thus far reguarding getting ready for the big day?

My husband (the beneficiary) has been busy this week, getting his passport photos and vaccinations. He has his medical scheduled for the 13th.

I'm getting all our paperwork together for the interview--copies of everything we've sent to USCIS and the NVC, original birth certificate, marriage certificates, etc., as well as our photos and evidence of our ongoing relationship. I'm putting everything into an expanding file, except for two small albums of photos. I want to go through and put tabs on all the paperwork so I can easily find anything I may need at the interview.

I booked my flight today, and need to book us a hotel room. Other than preparing for my trip, we're pretty much done, I think.

I bought a clear accordian folder, and placed in all our documents, tabbed and collated for easy location.

I read our consulate's reviews (a couple hour's worth) and made notes, started going over particulars with my spouse.

Had lots of conversations about our occupations, plans, etc....things that are common to be asked at the interview.

Well for me its a mixture of butterflies and grey clouds. butterflies because I am finally coming to the end of this journey and going to be with my husband and grey clouds because i would be leaving the only place I ever called home to begin a new life elsewhere.

I actually feel pretty calm about it so far. I've read a ton of Sydney consulate reviews here, so I feel like I have a good idea of what will happen. I'm sure I will be nervous later! But I think everything should go well. Mainly, I want to give my husband the best support I can--I know he will need it as he makes the move to a new country.

on mumbai consulate website they post schedule for immigrant visa appointments..for people with bmb number check it out ..they schudule till 20sept..hope i will get in last 10 of sept

Yes, thank you for the info. Usually Mumbai Consulate schedule around 1200 to 1300 immigrant visa appointments per month. If you look at the current total number it is close to 780 appointments listed in the schedule. Moreover, this is only an initial schedule. Mumbai consulate publish subsequent (Updated list) in the beginning of the month. I know for a fact some of the people already got an interview schedule for September 27th... But, nevertheless, I hope you and I will get in for the September schedule. Because, my case is also completed as of August 6, 2012.

It's the first version of interview list they have posted. It's not even in sorted order by date. Yes, they update the document at least 1 or 2 times after initial post.
