Yep.

You just don't do that in business or politics, especially foreign affairs.

It's ok to apologise for your own mistakes. It's not ok to apologise for America.

No.

I know what apology means.

I know it's popular on these boards that, if someone disagrees with you, you talk to them like they're a child who doesn't understand very simple things, but I assure you ... I know what apology means.

And I don't see anywhere that Obama actually APOLOGIZED. Stating a fact, even if it's a negative fact, doesn't mean it's an apology.

Just like admitting fault does not equal an apology.

I can say "man, I really messed that up" ... but it doesn't magically translate to "I messed that up, I'm wrong, and I'm sorry."

Obama did not apologize for America.

Just as Mitt didn't actually belittle Britain in his book by saying that "England is just a small island. Its roads and houses are small. With few exceptions, it doesn’t make things that people in the rest of the world want to buy. And if it hadn’t been separated from the continent by water, it almost certainly would have been lost to Hitler’s ambitions."

i simply posted the definition since so many were tossing around ... did he or didn't he apologize

what the individual reader does with the posted definition is entirely up to the reader.

:secret:

maybe somewhere in all the posts of this thread you've come to the conclusion that i've posted my opinion ... let me know when you find it.

I disagree with the last part; however he's right about GB being a small island with small houses and roads.

He didn't say GB is a small island. He said England is a small island. You can shake it any which way you want and the outcome is the same. He messed up.
