Time between medical and interview

I live in Scotland and have to travel down to London for the medical and also the interview for the K-1 VISA. Can anyone help me out with how far apart these have to be. I completely accept if I have to make 2 trips down...you gotta do what you gotta do! However...IF the medical can be done the day before the interview it would be great!

You'll more than likely be making two trips to London. The best I've seen lately is kittylondon who has about a two week space between the exam and the interview, but it can be further apart than that.

Part One: The K-1 Visa Journey:

USCIS Receipt of I-129F: January 24, 2012 | Petition Approval: June 15, 2012 (No RFEs)
Interview: October 24, 2012 - Review | Visa Delivered: October 31, 2012



Part Two: Entry and Adjusting Status:

POE: November 18, 2012 (at SFO) - Review
Wedding: December 1, 2012 | Social Security: New cards received on December 7, 2012.
AOS Package (I-485/I-765/I-131) NOA1: February 19, 2013 | Biometrics Appt.: March 18, 2013
AP/EAD Approved: April 29, 2013 | Card Received: May 6, 2013 | AOS Interview Appt.: May 16, 2013 - Approved Review Card Received: May 24, 2013

We did our medical the first day, fingerprinting the second day, and interview the third day. Some people did their medical the day before. Of course, you're working with a different country, but I imagine the process isn't too different.

07-18-2011: I-129F NOA2
08-08-2011: NVC Received
08-09-2011: NVC Left
08-10-2011: Consulate Received
08-26-2011: Consulate mailed Packet 3 (invitation letter)
09-01-2011: Packet 3 (invitation letter) Received in US
09-10-2011: Packet 3 (invitation letter) Received in Mexico

02-02-2012: Received appointment notice for AOS interview on March 1, 2012
03-01-2012: Green card interview: APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Every country works differently so you guys should think twice before posting something that can confuse people. Having said that, the London embassy will not schedule an interview until they have received the results of the medical. And they usually get them 4 days after the medical check.

So I think you will have to make 2 trips .... :(

Thanks all. It was my guess that it would be 2 trips which is totally fine...I like travel!! I will gladly do whatever needs done :)

Good to know as Ian is from Scotland too. One trip would be nice but we do what we must! We have a long way to go before an interview, but are hoping that time flys by!
